However, each of these channels designates a submissive position to ethnic citizenship. Amidst theoretical uncertainty on how the state has affected local communities, ethnic minorities can develop subjectivity. Through this, they can sincerely participate in the state's policy agenda, conveniently incorporate the state into the ethnic identity, give feedback to the state within the framework of official discourse, or hide behind the state to evade ethnic identification. Rather than finding a life outside the state, the ethnic communities can, in one way or another, position themselves inside the state. 606 $aAsia?Politics and government 606 $aPolitical economy 606 $aEconomic policy 606 $aPolitical sociology 606 $aPolitical science 606 $aPoverty 606 $aAsian Politics$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/911110 606 $aInternational Political Economy$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/912140 606 $aEconomic Policy$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/W34010 606 $aPolitical Sociology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/X22170 606 $aPolitical Science$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/911000 606 $aDevelopment Aid$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/913040 607 $aChina, Southwest$xPolitics and government 615 0$aAsia?Politics and government. 615 0$aPolitical economy. 615 0$aEconomic policy. 615 0$aPolitical sociology. 615 0$aPolitical science. 615 0$aPoverty. 615 14$aAsian Politics. 615 24$aInternational Political Economy. 615 24$aEconomic Policy. 615 24$aPolitical Sociology. 615 24$aPolitical Science. 615 24$aDevelopment Aid. 676 $a323.151 676 $a951/.306 700 $aShih$b C$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$01544639 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910782218103321 996 $aAutonomy, Ethnicity, and Poverty in Southwestern China$93799042 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03517nam 2200781 450 001 9910780569803321 005 20230912130400.0 010 $a1-282-02322-5 010 $a9786612023224 010 $a1-4426-7785-6 024 7 $a10.3138/9781442677852 035 $a(CKB)2420000000004238 035 $a(EBL)3254767 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000304594 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11228592 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000304594 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10284253 035 $a(PQKB)10479790 035 $a(CaBNvSL)thg00600369 035 $a(DE-B1597)464704 035 $a(OCoLC)1002222041 035 $a(OCoLC)1004871940 035 $a(OCoLC)1011438646 035 $a(OCoLC)1013961094 035 $a(OCoLC)944177844 035 $a(OCoLC)999355099 035 $a(DE-B1597)9781442677852 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL4671774 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr11257467 035 $a(OCoLC)244766722 035 $a(OCoLC)1354237036 035 $a(MdBmJHUP)musev2_105032 035 $a(VaAlCD)20.500.12592/64knjm 035 $a(schport)gibson_crkn/2009-12-01/6/418340 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC4671774 035 $a(EXLCZ)992420000000004238 100 $a20160922h20032003 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 00$aNorthrop Frye $eEastern and Western perspectives /$fedited by Jean O'Grady and Wang Ning 210 1$aToronto, [Ontario] ;$aBuffalo, [New York] ;$aLondon, [England] :$cUniversity of Toronto Press,$d2003. 210 4$dİ2003 215 $a1 online resource (210 p.) 225 0 $aFrye Studies 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 $a0-8020-3720-8 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references. 327 $aContents -- Foreword -- Acknowledgments -- Contributors -- Abbreviations -- Introduction -- Frye as Theorist -- Frye and the East: Buddhist and Hindu Translations -- Kant and Frye on the Critical Path -- Northrop Frye on Liberal Education -- Beyond Anagogy: Northrop Frye's Existential (Re)visions -- On Earth as It Is in Heaven: The Problem of Wish-Fulfilment in Frye's Visionary Criticism -- From Escape to Irony: Frye's The Argument of Comedy -- Northrop Frye and Cultural Studies -- Frye and Canada 327 $aCanadian Angles of Vision: Northrop Frye, Carl Klinck, and the Literary History of CanadaGone Primitive: The Critic in Canada -- Margaret Atwood's Cat's Eye: New Feminism or Old Comedy? -- Frye and China -- Myth-Archetypal Criticism in China -- Reconsidering Frye's Critical Thinking: A Chinese Perspective -- The Universal Significance of Frye's Theory of Fictional Modes -- Frye Studies in China: A Selected Bibliography of Recent Works -- Epilogue 330 $aDrawn from papers given at an international symposium on Northrop Frye in Hoh-Hot, Inner Mongolia, this volume offers insights intoFrye's theoretical approaches and the new context provided by cross-cultural questions. 410 0$aFrye studies 606 $aLITERARY CRITICISM / Semiotics & Theory$2bisacsh 607 $aChina$2fast 615 7$aLITERARY CRITICISM / Semiotics & Theory. 676 $a801.95092 702 $aO'Grady$b Jean$f1943- 702 $aWang$b Ning$f1955- 712 12$aInternational Symposium on Northrup Frye Studies 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910780569803321 996 $aNorthrop Frye$93762469 997 $aUNINA
