The sixtieth birthday (on December 14, 1996) of C.T.C. Wall, a leading member of the subject's founding generation, led the editors of this volume to reflect on the extraordinary accomplishments of surgery theory as well as its current enormously varied interactions with algebra, analysis, and geometry. Workers in many of these areas have often lamented the lack of a single source surveying surgery theory and its applications. Because no one person could write such a survey, the editors asked a variety of experts to report on the areas of current interest. This is the second of two volumes resulting from that collective effort. It will be useful to topologists, to other interested researchers, and to advanced students. The topics covered include current applications of surgery, Wall's finiteness obstruction, algebraic surgery, automorphisms and embeddings of manifolds, surgery theoretic methods for the study of group actions and stratified spaces, metrics of positive scalar curvature, and surgery in dimension four. In addition to the editors, the contributors are S. Ferry, M. Weiss, B. Williams, T. Goodwillie, J. Klein, S. Weinberger, B. Hughes, S. Stolz, R. Kirby, L. Taylor, and F. Quinn. 410 0$aAnnals of mathematics studies ;$vNumber 149. 606 $aSurgery (Topology) 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aSurgery (Topology) 676 $a514.72 686 $aSI 830$qBSZ$2rvk 702 $aCappell$b Sylvain 702 $aRanicki$b Andrew 702 $aRosenberg$b Jonathan 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910465350003321 996 $aSurveys on surgery theory$9377364 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01640oam 2200445Ia 450 001 9910703201003321 005 20110304102516.0 035 $a(CKB)4330000002014560 035 $a(OCoLC)701732056 035 $a(EXLCZ)994330000002014560 100 $a20110214d2011 ua 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcn||||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aUsing renewable energy purchases to achieve institutional carbon goals$b[electronic resource] $ea review of current practices and considerations /$fLori Bird and Jenny Sumner 210 1$aGolden, Colo. :$cNational Renewable Energy Laboratory,$d[2011] 215 $a1 online resource (vii, 35 pages) $ccolor illustrations, color map 225 1 $aNREL/TP ;$v6A20-49938 300 $aTitle from title screen (viewed February 14, 2011). 300 $a"January 2011." 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references (pages 26-29). 517 $aUsing Renewable Energy Purchases to Achieve Institutional Carbon Goals 606 $aEnergy policy 606 $aGreenhouse gas mitigation 606 $aCarbon dioxide mitigation 615 0$aEnergy policy. 615 0$aGreenhouse gas mitigation. 615 0$aCarbon dioxide mitigation. 700 $aBird$b Lori$01381274 701 $aSumner$b Jennifery$01420654 712 02$aNational Renewable Energy Laboratory (U.S.) 801 0$bSOE 801 1$bSOE 801 2$bGPO 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910703201003321 996 $aUsing renewable energy purchases to achieve institutional carbon goals$93539319 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01919nam 2200481 450 001 9910798057503321 005 20230213222437.0 010 $a3-11-164648-3 024 7 $a10.1515/9783111646480 035 $a(CKB)3710000000543621 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC5049080 035 $a(DE-B1597)61377 035 $a(OCoLC)1013940421 035 $a(OCoLC)940671428 035 $a(DE-B1597)9783111646480 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL5049080 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr11605321 035 $a(OCoLC)1051135038 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000000543621 100 $a20180924d1962 uy 0 101 0 $ager 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aGrundriss der Limnologie $eHydrobiologie des Swassers /$fvon Franz Ruttner 205 $a3., neubearb. und erw.
