It provides a systematic and in-depth analysis on the text of applicable Chinese laws and rules, with a particular focus on their practical application. It also critically explores whether international trade regulation in China complies with the WTO Agreement both in the text and in spirit and identifies areas where improvements by Chinese trade regulators would be desirable. The book starts with an analysis of basic issues of international trade regulation in China. Part II, covers foreign trading rights, trade restrictions and prohibitions, licensing and quotas, customs regulation, health, safety and technical standards, and trade in technology. Part III discusses trade protection and remedies available under PRC law, in the form of anti-dumping law, anti-subsidy law, safeguarding measures and trade retaliation. Part IV explores new regulatory issues, including trade promotion, trade and competition, trade and IP rights protection, and resolution of trade disputes. The book combines analysis with detailed practical advice and will be of interest to academics, practitioners and policy makers."--Bloomsbury Publishing. 410 0$aChina and international economic law series ;$vv. 2. 606 $aForeign trade regulation$zChina 606 $aTrade regulation$zChina 606 $2International economic & trade law 607 $aChina$xCommercial policy 607 $aChina$xEconomic policy$y2000- 615 0$aForeign trade regulation 615 0$aTrade regulation 676 $a346.5107 700 $aZhang$b Xin$f1973-$0627220 801 0$bUtOrBLW 801 1$bUtOrBLW 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910784278203321 996 $aInternational trade regulation in China$91212331 997 $aUNINA LEADER 05358nam 2200673Ia 450 001 9910784354503321 005 20230120004337.0 010 $a1-281-02250-0 010 $a9786611022501 010 $a0-08-052201-7 035 $a(CKB)1000000000349839 035 $a(EBL)298371 035 $a(OCoLC)316822443 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000073695 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11171365 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000073695 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10117607 035 $a(PQKB)10944103 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL298371 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10175624 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL102250 035 $a(CaSebORM)9780750679855 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC298371 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000349839 100 $a20070816d2007 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 14$aThe art of war for security managers$b[electronic resource] $e10 steps to enhancing organizational effectiveness /$fScott A. In the summer of 1968, during the high tide of the Cultural Revolution, it became notorious as the site of the most severe and extensive violence observed anywhere in China during that period of upheaval. Several cities saw urban combat resembling civil war, while waves of mass killings in rural communities generated enormous death tolls. More than one hundred thousand died in a few short months. These events have been chronicled in sensational accounts that include horrific descriptions of gruesome murders, sexual violence, and even cannibalism. Only recently have scholars tried to explain why Guangxi was so much more violent than other regions. With evidence from a vast collection of classified materials compiled during an investigation by the Chinese government in the 1980s, this book reconsiders explanations that draw parallels with ethnic cleansing in Rwanda, Bosnia, and other settings. It reveals mass killings as the byproduct of an intense top-down mobilization of rural militia against a stubborn factional insurgency, resembling brutal counterinsurgency campaigns in a variety of settings. Moving methodically through the evidence, Andrew Walder provides a groundbreaking new analysis of one the most shocking chapters of the Cultural Revolution. 606 $aInsurgency$zChina$zGuangxi Zhuangzu Zizhiqu$xHistory$y20th century 606 $aMassacres$zChina$zGuangxi Zhuangzu Zizhiqu$xHistory$y20th century 606 $aPolitical violence$zChina$zGuangxi Zhuangzu Zizhiqu$xHistory$y20th century 606 $aHISTORY / Asia / China$2bisacsh 607 $aGuangxi Zhuangzu Zizhiqu (China)$xPolitics and government$y20th century 607 $aChina$xHistory$yCultural Revolution, 1966-1976 615 0$aInsurgency$xHistory 615 0$aMassacres$xHistory 615 0$aPolitical violence$xHistory 615 7$aHISTORY / Asia / China. 676 $a951.2/805 700 $aWalder$b Andrew G$0120131 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910984631903321 996 $aCivil War in Guangxi$94333490 997 $aUNINA
