606 $aLiterature 606 $alittérature française 606 $amonde juif 615 4$aLiterature 615 4$alittérature française 615 4$amonde juif 700 $aBenoit$b Eric$0350589 801 0$bFR-FrMaCLE 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910495779303321 996 $aÉcrire le cri$93657103 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03741nam 22005415 450 001 9910736010503321 005 20251009080455.0 010 $a9783031370939 010 $a3031370937 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-031-37093-9 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC30667425 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL30667425 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-031-37093-9 035 $a(CKB)27865545800041 035 $a(EXLCZ)9927865545800041 100 $a20230726d2023 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aInstructed Second Language Pragmatics for The Speech Acts of Request, Apology, and Refusal: A Meta-Analysis /$fby Ali Derakhshan, Farzaneh Shakki 205 $a1st ed. 2023. 210 1$aCham :$cSpringer Nature Switzerland :$cImprint: Springer,$d2023. 215 $a1 online resource (124 pages) 225 1 $aSecond Language Learning and Teaching,$x2193-7656 311 08$aPrint version: Derakhshan, Ali Instructed Second Language Pragmatics for the Speech Acts of Request, Apology, and Refusal: a Meta-Analysis Cham : Springer International Publishing AG,c2023 9783031370922 327 $a1. In order to scrutinize the effectiveness of L2 instruction, meta-analyses are warranted; nonetheless, meta-analyses have been largely neglected, despite the fact that they provide a systematic explanation of the findings from the previous studies. Since meta-analysis is flourishing by leaps and bounds in each and every field, pragmatic studies are not the exception, and among miscellaneous constructs and units of analysis in pragmatics, the speech acts of request, apology, and refusal are investigated in this book. To bridge this gap, this book mainly presents the variables which can moderate the effectiveness of L2 instruction such as age, gender, proficiency, outcome measures, psycholinguistic features, research design, and treatment types. The first chapter of the book outlines the theoretical underpinnings of the study, accentuating the importance of conducting meta-analysis in this field of study. The second chapter elaborates on the empirical studies and a thorough review of the relevant research. The third chapter deals with the design of the study in which the inclusion and exclusion criteria, effect size calculation, coding of the variables, and reliability have been outlined while chapter four presents the obtained outcomes and results of the study. The last chapter describes the final remarks of the study, the limitations, implications, and the directions for future research in the field of pragmatics instruction. . 410 0$aSecond Language Learning and Teaching,$x2193-7656 606 $aApplied linguistics 606 $aLanguage and languages$xStudy and teaching 606 $aApplied Linguistics 606 $aLanguage Education 615 0$aApplied linguistics. 615 0$aLanguage and languages$xStudy and teaching. 615 14$aApplied Linguistics. 615 24$aLanguage Education. 676 $a418 700 $aDerakhshan$b Ali$01264998 701 $aShakki$b Farzaneh$01380142 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910736010503321 996 $aInstructed Second Language Pragmatics for The Speech Acts of Request, Apology, and Refusal: A Meta-Analysis$93567029 997 $aUNINA
