Taken together, the various essays comprising this book demonstrate that a more nuanced examination of the role of cultural heritage institutions as pedagogical sites requires a critical gaze to understand the function of the authority and ways through which such institutions educate. Beyond Pedagogy also makes a vital point about the complexity of such institutions and the need to comprehend how pedagogy emerges not only as an end result of the museum?s educational purpose but also in relation to the historically defined mandates that increasingly come to question the distinction between the knowledge we know and how we come to know it. As such, this volume expands our understandings of the ways in which pedagogy operates in the contexts of museums and heritage sites and the forms of knowledge, knowing, and being it conjures, celebrates, obscures, and/or silences in the process of producing among museum visitors particular notions of identity, subjectivity and voice, ones that, more often than not, reify rather than challenge traditional conceptualizations of the nation and its past, present, and future. 606 $aEducation 606 $aEducation 615 0$aEducation. 615 14$aEducation. 676 $a069.15 702 $aTrofanenko$b Brenda 702 $aSegall$b Avner$f1956- 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910464692803321 996 $aBeyond pedagogy$92463973 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02307oas 22009733a 450 001 9910170625603321 005 20251105213014.0 011 $a1941-9260 035 $a(DE-599)ZDB2031332-9 035 $a(OCoLC)50396888 035 $a(CONSER) 2008215657 035 $a(CKB)954925435447 035 $a(EXLCZ)99954925435447 100 $a20020813a19479999 sy a 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurmnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 00$aPostgraduate medicine 210 $a[New York, NY] $c[Vendome Group, LLC] 210 2 $aBerwyn, PA $cJTE Multimedia 210 2 $aBerwyn, PA $cPostgraduate Medicine 210 3 $a[Abingdon, Oxon, UK] $cTaylor & Francis 300 $aRefereed/Peer-reviewed 311 08$a0032-5481 517 1 $aPostgraduate medicine online 606 $aMedicine$vPeriodicals 606 $aMedicine$vPeriodicals 606 $aMe?decine$vPe?riodiques 606 $a44.62 general practice$3(NL-LeOCL)07759679X$2bcl 606 $aMedicine$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst01014893 606 $aMedicina$2thub 608 $aPeriodicals.$2fast 608 $aPeriodicals.$2lcgft 608 $aRevistes electròniques.$2thub 615 0$aMedicine 615 2$aMedicine 615 6$aMe?decine 615 7$a44.62 general practice. 615 7$aMedicine. 615 7$aMedicina. 676 $a616.05 801 0$bSBH 801 1$bSBH 801 2$bN@F 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bCUS 801 2$bSBH 801 2$bUV0 801 2$bDLC 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bOCLCF 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bAUD 801 2$bOCLCE 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bDLC 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bNLE 801 2$bWYU 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bUKMGB 801 2$bTKN 801 2$bIBD 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bQGK 801 2$bYWS 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bUX1 801 2$bAPUMS 801 2$bU3W 801 2$bS2H 801 2$bOCLCL 801 2$bSRU 801 2$bOCLCQ 906 $aJOURNAL 912 $a9910170625603321 996 $aPostgraduate medicine$9790691 997 $aUNINA
