This report summarizes results of a national survey on research and technology transfer needs for housing and prioritizes those needs. Survey participants included academicians, builders, code officials, government officials, homeowners, manufacturers, and others. In addition to determining overall priorities, research and technology transfer needs are also categorized into important priority areas for housing: construction, design, disaster, durability, environmental factors, fasteners and adhesives, inspection, materials, operation, maintenance and rehabilitation, and other areas. Analysis of the needs for housing research and technology demonstrates great interest in, and high priority for, moisture and mold issues, wood preservation and related fastening technology, and development of standardized inspection and installation procedures for materials and products. Priorities identified in this study will be used by the Forest Products Laboratory for developing a national program for housing research and development. 606 $aWooden-frame houses$xTechnological innovations$xPublic opinion 606 $aWooden-frame houses$xResearch$xPublic opinion 606 $aTechnology transfer$xPublic opinion 615 0$aWooden-frame houses$xTechnological innovations$xPublic opinion. 615 0$aWooden-frame houses$xResearch$xPublic opinion. 615 0$aTechnology transfer$xPublic opinion. 700 $aPowell$b Kevin L$01422983 701 $aTilotta$b David C$01422984 701 $aMartinson$b Karen L$01398658 712 02$aForest Products Laboratory (U.S.) 801 0$bGPO 801 1$bGPO 801 2$bGPO 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910697321303321 996 $aAssessment of research and technology transfer needs for wood-frame housing$93548998 997 $aUNINA
