The goal of this book is to resituate this important collection of manuscripts in broader contexts, examining their significance in conversation with papyrology as a discipline, in the context of other ancient literary traditions preserved on papyri, and in discussion with the intellectual and cultural history of collecting, colonialism, and scholarly rhetoric. The Chester Beatty Biblical Papyri, and other papyrological collection with which they are inextricably bound, remind us of the critical value of examining old manuscripts afresh in their historical, scholarly, and intellectual contexts. These studies are relevant for all scholars who work with manuscripts and ancient texts of any variety. 410 0$aManuscripta Biblica. 606 $aRELIGION / Antiquities & Archaeology$2bisacsh 610 $aColonialism. 610 $aManuscripts. 610 $aPhilology. 610 $aSocial history. 615 7$aRELIGION / Antiquities & Archaeology. 676 $a220.48 702 $aAllen$b Garrick V., $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aAllen$b Garrick Vernon, $4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aDe Troyer$b Kristin, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aFowler$b Kimberley A., $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aGad$b Usama Ali Mohamed, $4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aGad$b Usama, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aLin$b Yii-Jan, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aLundhaug$b Hugo, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aMcGing$b Brian, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aNongbri$b Brent, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aRodenbiker$b Kelsie G., $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aRodenbiker$b Kelsie Gayle , $4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aRose-Beers$b Kristine, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aRoyle$b Anthony Philip , $4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aSharp$b Daniel B., $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aUnkel$b Jill, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aUnkel$b Jill, $4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aWasserman$b Tommy, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aWright Knust$b Jennifer, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 801 0$bDE-B1597 801 1$bDE-B1597 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996524966903316 996 $aThe Chester Beatty Biblical Papyri at Ninety$93365553 997 $aUNISA
