The representatives of the new dynasty differ greatly from their predecessor Julian, both personally and in their style of government. The Empire is divided between the two rulers, and suffers increasingly from barbarian invasions. Faced with these changes, Ammianus adapts his historical method. His treatment of the events becomes less detailed and more critical. The years following on the death of Julian are painted in dark colours, as the disaster at Hadrianople casts its shadow before. The papers in this volume, on History and Historiography, Literary Composition and Crisis of Empire, were presented during the conference \'Ammianus after Julian\' held in 2005. 410 0$aMnemosyne, bibliotheca classica Batava.$pSupplementum ;$v289. 606 $aEmperors$zRome$xBiography$xHistory and criticism 607 $aRome$xHistory$yEmpire, 284-476$xHistoriography$vCongresses 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aEmperors$xBiography$xHistory and criticism. 676 $a937/.08092 686 $a18.46$2bcl 686 $a15.52$2bcl 701 $aBoeft$b J. den$0280787 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910454454703321 996 $aAmmianus after Julian$92253117 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01489nam 2200373z- 450 001 9910694313903321 005 20120322082639.0 035 $a(CKB)5860000000036508 035 $a(BIP)016874158 035 $a(EXLCZ)995860000000036508 100 $a20220406c2007uuuu -u- - 101 0 $aeng 200 10$aWorking in a war zone $epost traumatic stress disorder in civilians returning from Iraq : hearing before the Subcommittee on the Middle East and South Asia of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, House of Representatives, One Hundred Tenth Congress, first session, June 19, 2007 215 $a1 online resource (iii, 48 p.) 311 $a0-16-079462-5 517 $aWorking in a War Zone 606 $aDiplomatic and consular service, American$xMental health$zIraq 606 $aPost-traumatic stress disorder$zIraq 606 $aIraq War, 2003-2011$xPsychological aspects 607 $aUnited States$xOfficials and employees$xMental health$zIraq 610 $aDiplomatic and consular service 610 $aPost-traumatic stress disorder 610 $aIraq war, 2003-2011 610 $aUnited States 610 $aPolitical science 610 $aPsychology 610 $aHistory 615 0$aDiplomatic and consular service, American$xMental health 615 0$aPost-traumatic stress disorder 615 0$aIraq War, 2003-2011$xPsychological aspects. 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910694313903321 996 $aWorking in a war zone$93188639 997 $aUNINA
