B. Yeats Lectures Series (2003-08) by Roy Foster, Warwick Gould, John Kelly, Paul Muldoon, Bernard O'Donoghue and Helen Vendler. Those that were available in pamphlet form are now collectors' items, but here is the complete series. These revised essays cover such themes as Yeats and the Refrain, Yeats as a Love Poet, Yeats, Ireland and Europe, the puzzles he created and solved with his art of poetic sequences, and his long and crucial interaction with the emerging T. S. Eliot. The series was inaugurated by a study of Yeats and his Books, which marked the gift to the Boole Library, Cork, of Dr Eamonn Cantwell's collection of rare editions of books by Yeats (here catalogued by Crónán Ó Doibhlin). Many of the volume's fifty-six plates offer images of artists' designs and resulting first editions. This bibliographical theme is continued with Colin Smythe's census of surviving copies of Yeats's earliest separate publication, Mosada (1886) and a resultant piece by Warwick Gould on that dramatic poem's source in the legend of The Phantom Ship. John Kelly reveals Yeats's ghost-writing for Sarah Allgood; Geert Lernout discovers the source for Yeats's 'Tulka'; Günther Schmigalle unearths his surprising connexions with American communist colonists in Virginia; while Deirdre Toomey edits some new letters to the French anarchist, Auguste Hamon-all providing new annotation for standard editions. The volume is rounded with review essays by Colin McDowell (on A Vision, and Berkeley, Hone and Yeats), shorter reviews of current studies by Michael Edwards, Jad Adams and Deirdre Toomey, and obituaries of Jon Stallworthy (Nicolas Barker) and Katharine Worth (Richard Cave). 517 $aEssays in Honour of Eamonn Cantwell 606 $aLiterature, British Isles 606 $aPoetry 606 $aYeats Annual 606 $aInstitute of English Studies 606 $aIrish poetry 606 $aIreland 606 $arare books 610 $airish poetry 610 $aireland 610 $aeliot 610 $ayeats annual 610 $arare books 610 $awilliam butler yeats 610 $aeamonn cantwell 610 $ainstitute of english studies 610 $awarwick gould 610 $aLondon 610 $aW. In addition, the influence of biotic and abiotic factors as well as natural and artificial disturbances on carbon and nitrogen cycling need to first be understood before drawing their implications to forest management practices. This Special Issue aims to understand carbon and nitrogen distribution and cycling in forest ecosystems for ecosystem-based forest management under different natural and artificial disturbances. 606 $aBiology, life sciences$2bicssc 606 $aResearch & information: general$2bicssc 606 $aTechnology, engineering, agriculture$2bicssc 610 $aAbies religiosa 610 $aatmospheric nitrogen deposition 610 $abiomass regression model 610 $acarbon 610 $acarbon balance 610 $acarbon cycling 610 $acarbon mass 610 $acarbon sequestration 610 $aChina 610 $aclimate change 610 $adecomposition 610 $adeep soil 610 $adissolved organic matter 610 $adisturbance 610 $aecosystem process 610 $aeddy covariance 610 $aequivalent soil mass 610 $aexoenzymes 610 $aextracellular enzymes 610 $afertilization 610 $afixed depth 610 $aforest conversion 610 $aforest fire 610 $aforest floor 610 $aforest management 610 $aheadwater catchment 610 $ahyphal exploration strategy 610 $anet ecosystem exchange 610 $anet primary production 610 $anet primary productivity 610 $anitrogen 610 $anitrogen addition 610 $aNPP 610 $aphenology 610 $aPhyllostachys edulis 610 $aPicea crassifolia 610 $aPinus resinosa 610 $aplant-soil interactions 610 $aprotected forest 610 $aQinling Mountains 610 $aresin core method 610 $aRussula 610 $asoil enzymes 610 $asoil nitrogen mineralization 610 $asoil organic carbon 610 $asoil respiration 610 $aspatiotemporal patterns 610 $astand age 610 $asuccession 610 $athinning 615 7$aBiology, life sciences 615 7$aResearch & information: general 615 7$aTechnology, engineering, agriculture 700 $aSon$b Yowhan$4edt$01337678 702 $aSon$b Yowhan$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910674053003321 996 $aCarbon and Nitrogen in Forest Ecosystems-Series I$94419157 997 $aUNINA
