In dealing with the work of two contemporary literary authors, Herta Mu?ller and Ilma Rakusa, she develops the affect-poetological program of writing in contradiction, which for the first time combines literary methods with approaches of social-scientifically based research on belonging and is aimed at an interdisciplinary, open-minded readership. Marion Acker shows that belonging is a multifaceted challenge that is taken up again and again in the writing of the two authors and has the potential.
