However, living longer is often related to different levels of frailty. There is no curative treatment for frailty?the interventions that have been described as effective to slow or delay the onset of frailty are physical activity and nutritional interventions. Maintaining adequate nutrition status is important to reduce the risk of chronic diseases, many of which are age-related. On the other hand, frailty itself may have a negative effect on eating and, thus, on the nutritional status. This Special Issue, "Nutrition, Diet Quality, Aging and Frailty", addresses the existing knowledge on nutrition regarding the causative factors of frailty and disease due to aging, i.e., strategies for delaying the pathological effects of aging. It consists of twelve peer-reviewed papers covering original research, protocol development, methodological studies, narrative or systematic reviews, and meta-analyses, to better understand these complex relationships. 606 $aMedicine$2bicssc 610 $adiet 610 $ametabolism 610 $anutrient 610 $aglucose 610 $alipid 610 $ainsulin 610 $aneuroinflammation 610 $aAlzheimer?s disease 610 $aanti-ageing 610 $aeating habits 610 $afunctional foods 610 $askin ageing 610 $abreakfast 610 $ameals 610 $aolder adults 610 $aprotein intake 610 $ahyperhomocysteinemia 610 $avitamin B deficiency 610 $aamyloid beta-peptides 610 $adisease models 610 $aanimal 610 $amemory and learning tests 610 $adietary diversity 610 $aactivities of daily living 610 $acohort study 610 $aadults 610 $amortality 610 $aQOL 610 $aADL 610 $aSerum albumin 610 $aself-assessed chewing ability 610 $ainflammaging 610 $acognitive impairment 610 $acytokines 610 $aphysical frailty 610 $aaged 610 $adietary inflammatory index 610 $adietary patterns 610 $afrailty 610 $ainflammation 610 $amuscle function 610 $amuscle mass 610 $asarcopenia 610 $aprevalence 610 $anutrition 610 $aphysical activity 610 $ameta-analysis 610 $ameta-regression 610 $adairy products 610 $adietary pattern 610 $amalnutrition 610 $afood groups 610 $aMediterranean dietary pattern 610 $aWesternized dietary pattern 610 $across-sectional study 610 $aaging 610 $alifespan 610 $acarbohydrates 610 $awhole grain 610 $aprotein 615 7$aMedicine 700 $aCapurso$b Cristiano$4edt$0784165 702 $aFéart$b Catherine$4edt 702 $aCapurso$b Cristiano$4oth 702 $aFéart$b Catherine$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910639997103321 996 $aNutrition, Diet Quality, Aging and Frailty$93039550 997 $aUNINA
