It is not yet able to describe gravity in a mathematically consistent manner. CP violation remains unexplained. Grand unified theories have been eliminated by experiment, and a viable unification model has yet to replace them. Even the highly successful quantum chromodynamics, despite significant computational achievements, struggles to provide theoretical insight into the low-energy regime of quark physics, where the nature and structure of hadrons are determined. The only proposal for resolving the fine-tuning problem, low-energy supersymmetry, has been eliminated by results from the LHC. Since mathematics is the true and proper language for quantitative physical models, we expect new mathematical constructions to provide insight into physical phenomena and fresh approaches for building physical theories. 606 $aResearch & information: general$2bicssc 606 $aPhysics$2bicssc 610 $asemiheaps 610 $aternary algebras 610 $apara-associativity 610 $aquantum mechanics 610 $agravity 610 $aClairaut equation 610 $aCho-Duan-Ge decomposition 610 $aconstraintless formalism 610 $acanonical gravity 610 $acovariance 610 $ablack holes 610 $aquantum foundations 610 $anon-axiomaticity 610 $adetector clicks 610 $aensembles 610 $asuperposition principle 610 $aarithmetic 610 $anumbers 610 $avector space 610 $aabstracting 610 $ainterpretations 610 $aself-referentiality 610 $adirect product 610 $adirect power 610 $apolyadic semigroup 610 $aarity 610 $apolyadic ring 610 $apolyadic field 610 $aMaxwell's vacuum equations 610 $aHamilton-Jacobi equation 610 $aKlein-Gordon-Fock equation 610 $aalgebra of symmetry operators 610 $aseparation of variables 610 $alinear partial differential equations 610 $aEinstein field equation 610 $arecursion operator 610 $aNoether symmetry 610 $amaster symmetry 610 $aconformable differential 610 $aPoisson manifold 610 $adiffeomorphism group 610 $acurrent algebra symmetry 610 $acurrent Lie algebra representation 610 $afock space 610 $agenerating functional 610 $adistribution functions 610 $aLie-Poisson structure 610 $acoherent states 610 $aLie-Poisson action 610 $aHilbert space linearization 610 $ahamiltonian systems 610 $asymmetry reduction 610 $aintegrability 610 $aidiabatic states 610 $afactorization 610 $aheavenly type dynamical systems 610 $aintegrable dynamical systems 610 $adirac reduction 610 $ahydrodynamic flows 610 $aentropy 610 $avortex flows 610 $aasymptotic conditions 610 $aKirchhoff's integral theorem 610 $aquantum gravity and the problem of the Big Bang 610 $ahidden Hermitian formulations of quantum mechanics 610 $astationary Wheeler-DeWitt system 610 $aphysical Hilbert space metric 610 $anon-stationary Wheeler-DeWitt system 615 7$aResearch & information: general 615 7$aPhysics 700 $aDuplij$b Steven$4edt$0150878 702 $aWalker$b Michael L$4edt 702 $aDuplij$b Steven$4oth 702 $aWalker$b Michael L$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910639990903321 996 $aSelected Topics in Gravity, Field Theory and Quantum Mechanics$93026438 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04207nam 2200925z- 450 001 9910595069003321 005 20220916 035 $a(CKB)5680000000080842 035 $a(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/92070 035 $a(oapen)doab92070 035 $a(EXLCZ)995680000000080842 100 $a20202209d2022 |y 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurmn|---annan 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 00$aAircraft Noise 210 $aBasel$d2022 215 $a1 online resource (296 p.) 311 08$a3-0365-4898-X 311 08$a3-0365-4897-1 330 $aNoise generated by aircraft continues to be a pressing issue for society, as an increasing number of people residing in close proximity to airports make noise complaints on a regular basis. The reduction in aircraft noise is therefore a very important engineering task that would require the careful identification of different acoustic sources around the airplane, the understanding of noise source behavior and ranking along flight trajectories, sophisticated measurement techniques, and robust and accurate numerical tools aimed at predicting the generation of noise, the propagation through the atmosphere, and the resulting noise impact along approach and departure flights. For an overall assessment of the situation, it has to be assessed along entire flight trajectories rather than assessing limited operating conditions only. Furthermore, it is highly recommended to apply multiple acoustic metrics and account for different and widespread observer locations along the flight. Only then can the overall situation be adequately captured. Obviously, this is a highly multidisciplinary effort and no single discipline can address this problem. This reprint includes selected research studies with that multidisciplinary context that deal with numerical or experimental investigations that range from the investigation of specific noise sources to the assessment of noise generated by the overall aircraft in operation. Both basic and applied research studies involving the modelling and simulation of aircraft noise are included. 606 $aHistory of engineering and technology$2bicssc 606 $aTechnology: general issues$2bicssc 610 $aAEDT 610 $aaeroacoustics 610 $aair quality 610 $aaircraft conceptual design 610 $aaircraft noise 610 $aaircraft noise impact 610 $aaircraft noise prediction 610 $aaircraft noise simulation 610 $aairport operations 610 $acenter of excellence 610 $aCFD 610 $acommunity noise 610 $aconceptual aircraft design 610 $aFAA NPRM 610 $aFLULA2 610 $aforward swept wing 610 $agreen aviation 610 $aICAO Annex 16 610 $aICAO Annex 16 Vol.1 610 $ajet noise 610 $ajet-surface interaction 610 $alarge eddy simulations 610 $alow-noise aircraft design 610 $aLTO noise 610 $amultiobjective optimisation 610 $aNASA STCA 610 $anoise abatement procedures 610 $anoise certification 610 $anoise prediction method 610 $aPANAM 610 $aporous material 610 $aPrADO 610 $aRCE 610 $arotor-stator interaction noise 610 $asimulation 610 $asonAIR 610 $asound quality 610 $aspectral matching 610 $asupersonic aircraft 610 $aSuperSonic Transport (SST) 610 $asupersonic transport aircraft 610 $aSustainable and Energy-Efficient Aviation (SE2A) 610 $asynthetic turbulence 610 $aturbulence modeling 610 $avalidation with measurements 615 7$aHistory of engineering and technology 615 7$aTechnology: general issues 700 $aBertsch$b Lothar$4edt$01322449 702 $aSescu$b Adrian$4edt 702 $aBertsch$b Lothar$4oth 702 $aSescu$b Adrian$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910595069003321 996 $aAircraft Noise$93035019 997 $aUNINA
