One contribution addresses the novel magnetic properties in a nanohybrid of iron oxide and carbide nanoparticles grown in diamond. Magnetic textures, such as skyrmion structures, form an important area of research in nanomagnetism, this forms the topic of another contribution. Several aspects of magnetisation dynamics are addressed in other contributions and relate to the developments of microresonators and microantennas applied to the study of magnetic nanostructures; the ferromagnetic resonance behaviour in nanodot systems are also considered. Materials development forms an important area of study in nanomagnetism, and, as such, the preparation conditions, such as annealing under an applied field, can have important effects on the magnetic properties of thin films and low dimensional structures. Such considerations form the study of one of the contributions. Perpendicular magnetic anisotropy has a number of important applications in magnetic storage materials; this is the subject of two further contributions. 606 $aInformation technology industries$2bicssc 606 $aComputer science$2bicssc 610 $amagnetic nanohybrid materials 610 $ananodiamonds 610 $ananoparticles 610 $airon carbides 610 $aFe3C 610 $aspinel-type iron oxide 610 $aMo?ssbauer spectroscopy 610 $askyrmions 610 $amicromagnetic simulations 610 $ageometric pinning 610 $afinite-element modelling 610 $aferromagnetic resonance 610 $amicroantenna 610 $amicroresonator 610 $amagnetic relaxation 610 $athin films 610 $ananostructures 610 $a[Co/Ni]2/PtMn multilayers 610 $amagnetic field annealing 610 $ahysteresis loop vertical shift 610 $aexchange coupling 610 $ananomagnetism 610 $amagnetic multilayers 610 $amicromagnetism 610 $amagnetization dynamics 610 $amagnetic nanodots 610 $acoupled magnetic thin films 610 $aperpendicular magnetic anisotropy 615 7$aInformation technology industries 615 7$aComputer science 700 $aSchmool$b David S$4edt$01295895 702 $aSchmool$b David S$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910637794803321 996 $aRecent Advances in Nanomagnetism$93023729 997 $aUNINA
