A Long Journey of Integration. 330 $aThrough an inter-subjective lens, this open access book investigates the initial labour market integration experiences of these migrants, refugees or asylum seekers, who are characterised by different biographies and migration/asylum trajectories. The book gives voice to the migrants and seeks to highlight their own experiences and understandings of the labour market integration process, in the first years of immigration. It adopts a critical, qualitative perspective but does not remain ethnographic. The book rather refers the migrants? own voice and experience to their own expert knowledge of the policy and socio-economic context that is navigated. Each chapter brings into dialogue the migrant?s intersubjective experiences with the relevant policies and practices, as well as with the relevant stakeholders, whether local government, national services, civil society or migrant organisations. The book concludes with relevant critical insights as to how labour market integration islived on the ground and on what migrants ?do? with labour market policies rather than on what labour market policies ?do? to or for migrants. 410 0$aIMISCOE Research Series,$x2364-4095 606 $aEmigration and immigration 606 $aLabor economics 606 $aPopulation$xEconomic aspects 606 $aEmigration and immigration$xSocial aspects 606 $aIndustrial sociology 606 $aHuman Migration 606 $aLabor and Population Economics 606 $aSociology of Migration 606 $aSociology of Work 615 0$aEmigration and immigration. 615 0$aLabor economics. 615 0$aPopulation$xEconomic aspects. 615 0$aEmigration and immigration$xSocial aspects. 615 0$aIndustrial sociology. 615 14$aHuman Migration. 615 24$aLabor and Population Economics. 615 24$aSociology of Migration. 615 24$aSociology of Work. 676 $a304.8 686 $aBUS038000$aSOC007000$aSOC026000$2bisacsh 700 $aIsaakyan$b Irina$f1970-$01845825 702 $aIsaakyan$b Irina$f1970-$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aTriandafyllidou$b Anna$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aBaglioni$b Simone$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910631082903321 996 $aImmigrant and asylum seekers labour market integration upon arrival: NowHereLand$94429619 997 $aUNINA
