They all reveal dimensions of the same concrete reality: contemporary society of Central South Africa. Except for two, all the chapters originated from research in the program The Narrative Study of Lives, situated in the Department of Sociology at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein, South Africa. Each chapter opens a window on an aspect of everyday life in Central South Africa. Each window displays the capacity of the narrative as a methodological tool in qualitative research to open up better understandings of everyday experience. The chapters also reflect on the epistemological journey towards unwrapping and breaking open of meaning. Narratives are one of many tools available to sociologists in their quest to understand and interpret meaning. But, when it comes to deep understanding, narratives are particularly effective in opening up more intricate levels of meaning associated with emotions, feelings, and subjective experiences. 517 $aNarrating the Everyday 606 $aSociology$2bicssc 607 $aSouth Africa$xSocial conditions 610 $aEmotions 610 $aBelonging 610 $aEnslavement 610 $aLiberation 610 $aTransformation 610 $aFemale Beauty 610 $aHair Discourses 610 $aCreative Process 610 $aSocial Networking 610 $aInteractions 610 $aRelationships 610 $aOnline Gamers 610 $aLived Experiences 610 $aOvercoming the Divide 610 $aGroup Identity 610 $aGroupness 610 $aSangoma 610 $aHealthcare Center 610 $aPhysical Disability 610 $aMother-Daughter Communication 610 $aIntimate Relationships 610 $aStranger 610 $aExperiencing Boundaries 610 $aInsurgent Citizenship 610 $aSustained Resistance 610 $aLocal Taxi Association 615 7$aSociology 676 $a306.0968 702 $aCoetzee$b Jan Karel 702 $aRau$b Asta 702 $aWojciechowska$b Magdalena$f1983- 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910619478203321 996 $aNarrating the Everyday$93029370 997 $aUNINA
