/$fThierry Tressel, Alessandro Prati 210 1$aWashington, D.C. :$cInternational Monetary Fund,$d2006. 215 $a1 online resource (65 p.) 225 1 $aIMF Working Papers 300 $a"June 2006." 311 $a1-4518-6405-1 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references (p. 59-63). 327 $a""Contents""; ""I. We present evidence that aid volatility augments trade balance volatility and that foreign aid, with the important exception of years of adverse shocks, depresses exports. We also find that these effects can be mitigated through changes in net domestic assets of the central bank-a variable that reflects both monetary and fiscal policy. To characterize the optimal policy, we develop a general equilibrium model in which the capital account is closed and aid influences productivity growth through positive (public expenditure) and negative (Dutch disease) externalities. In this setting, macroeconomic policies permanently affect real variables and can improve welfare if donors do not distribute foreign aid optimally over time. 410 0$aIMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;$vNo. 2006/145 606 $aEconomic assistance$xEconometric models 606 $aEconomic policy$xEconometric models 606 $aBanks and Banking$2imf 606 $aExports and Imports$2imf 606 $aForeign Exchange$2imf 606 $aEmpirical Studies of Trade$2imf 606 $aTrade: General$2imf 606 $aForeign Aid$2imf 606 $aMonetary Policy$2imf 606 $aInternational economics$2imf 606 $aBanking$2imf 606 $aCurrency$2imf 606 $aForeign exchange$2imf 606 $aTrade balance$2imf 606 $aExports$2imf 606 $aForeign aid$2imf 606 $aInternational reserves$2imf 606 $aReal exchange rates$2imf 606 $aBalance of trade$2imf 606 $aInternational relief$2imf 606 $aForeign exchange reserves$2imf 607 $aUnited States$2imf 615 0$aEconomic assistance$xEconometric models. 615 0$aEconomic policy$xEconometric models. 615 7$aBanks and Banking 615 7$aExports and Imports 615 7$aForeign Exchange 615 7$aEmpirical Studies of Trade 615 7$aTrade: General 615 7$aForeign Aid 615 7$aMonetary Policy 615 7$aInternational economics 615 7$aBanking 615 7$aCurrency 615 7$aForeign exchange 615 7$aTrade balance 615 7$aExports 615 7$aForeign aid 615 7$aInternational reserves 615 7$aReal exchange rates 615 7$aBalance of trade 615 7$aInternational relief 615 7$aForeign exchange reserves 700 $aTressel$b Thierry$01463685 701 $aPrati$b Alessandro$0120813 712 02$aInternational Monetary Fund.$bResearch Dept. 801 0$bDcWaIMF 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910788401703321 996 $aAid Volatility and Dutch Disease$93849988 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03381nam 22005775 450 001 9910595060303321 005 20251113204724.0 010 $a981-19-5049-0 024 7 $a10.1007/978-981-19-5049-0 035 $a(CKB)5850000000078399 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC7101918 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL7101918 035 $a(DE-He213)978-981-19-5049-0 035 $a(PPN)264961218 035 $a(EXLCZ)995850000000078399 100 $a20220921d2022 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aEssays on Pareto Optimality in Cooperative Games /$fby Yaning Lin, Weihai Zhang 205 $a1st ed. 2022. 210 1$aSingapore :$cSpringer Nature Singapore :$cImprint: Springer,$d2022. 215 $a1 online resource (169 pages) 311 08$a981-19-5048-2 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 327 $aIntroduction -- Existence conditions of Pareto solutions in the finite horizon stochastic differential game -- Existence conditions of Pareto solutions in the infinite horizon stochastic differential game -- LQ Pareto game of the stochastic singular systems in finite horizon -- LQ Pareto game of the stochastic singular systems in infinite horizon -- Pareto-based guaranteed cost control of the uncertain mean-field stochastic systems -- Existence conditions of Pareto solutions in the finite horizon cooperative difference game -- Existence conditions of Pareto solutions in the infinite horizon cooperative difference game -- References. 330 $aThe book focuses on Pareto optimality in cooperative games. Most of the existing works focus on the Pareto optimality of deterministic continuous-time systems or for the regular convex LQ case. To expand on the available literature, we explore the existence conditions of Pareto solutions in stochastic differential game for more general cases. In addition, the LQ Pareto game for stochastic singular systems, Pareto-based guaranteed cost control for uncertain mean-field stochastic systems, and the existence conditions of Pareto solutions in cooperative difference game are also studied in detail. Addressing Pareto optimality for more general cases and wider systems is one of the major features of the book, making it particularly suitable for readers who are interested in multi-objective optimal control. Accordingly, it offers a valuable asset for researchers, engineers, and graduate students in the fields of control theory and control engineering, economics, management science, mathematics, etc. 606 $aControl engineering 606 $aMathematics$xPhilosophy 606 $aMathematical optimization 606 $aControl and Systems Theory 606 $aPhilosophy of Mathematics 606 $aOptimization 615 0$aControl engineering. 615 0$aMathematics$xPhilosophy. 615 0$aMathematical optimization. 615 14$aControl and Systems Theory. 615 24$aPhilosophy of Mathematics. 615 24$aOptimization. 676 $a629.8 700 $aLin$b Yaning$01258175 702 $aZhang$b Weihai 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910595060303321 996 $aEssays on Pareto optimality in cooperative games$93041641 997 $aUNINA
