It's Christmas Eve and Rory Andrews is desperate to get home to the family she hasn't seen in years. Problem is, her only ride to Lake Tahoe comes in the form of the annoyingly handsome Max Stranton, and his big, goofy, lovable dog Carl. Hours stuck in a truck with the dead sexy Max sounds like a fate worse than death (not), but Rory's out of options. She's had a crush on Max since high school and she knows he's attracted to her, too. But they have history... and Max is the only one who knows why it went south. They've done a good job of ignoring their chemistry so far, but a long road trip in a massive blizzard might be just what they need to face their past... and one steamy, snowy night is all it takes to bring Max and Rory together at last. 517 $aOne Snowy Night 606 $aFiction$2OverDrive 606 $aRomance$2OverDrive 610 $aMan-Woman Relationships 610 $aFiction 610 $aLiterature And Fiction 615 17$aFiction. 615 7$aRomance. 686 $aFIC027000$aFIC027020$aFIC027290$2bisacsh 700 $aShalvis$b Jill$01205714 702 $aWhite$b Karen$f1964-$4oth 906 $aAUDIO 912 $a9910148784003321 996 $aOne snowy night$94290319 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04953nam 22006975 450 001 9910590051203321 005 20251113211547.0 010 $a9783030826062$b(electronic bk.) 010 $z9783030826055 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-030-82606-2 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC7077202 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL7077202 035 $a(CKB)24739001500041 035 $a(OCoLC)1342248248 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-030-82606-2 035 $a(EXLCZ)9924739001500041 100 $a20220823d2022 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aAcademia and the World Beyond $eNavigating Life after a PhD /$fedited by Christopher R. But many students are too focused on the PhD itself and have not yet had a chance to sufficiently think about post-PhD life. Th is book is a collection of 22 interviews with those have completed a PhD and then are now in an academic position or another career path. In either case, they have all been successful and have a multitude of insights to share with those who are interested in considering a variety of careers. Academic careers share many commonalities with many non-academic careers, with skills learned within academia being valuable in other career paths as well. Nearly all the individuals interviewed here have been on the job market recently and understand today's job climate. No other book on the market includes the diversity of perspectives presented here. In particular, the focus on psychology and neuroscience draws from a variety of individuals that have similar training buthave nonetheless taken divergent paths. Dr. Christopher R.
