This volume provides an in-depth analysis of industry sectors globally, and its purpose is to present emission reduction targets in 5-year steps (2025 to 2050) for the main twelve finance sectors per the Global Industry Classification System. This scientific analysis aims to support the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment initiative to give sustainability guidance for the global finance industry. The industry sector pathways presented here are based on the latest global and regional 100% renewable energy and non-energy greenhouse gas Representative Concentration Pathways in order to keep climate change significantly under +1.5 C and thereby achieve the Paris Climate Agreement goals. The heart of this book is three chapters presenting the results of industry scenario modelling. These chapters cover twelve industry and service sectors as well as transportation and buildings. The specific energy demand and specific emissions are presented based on the emission accounting concept of ?Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3? emission pathways. This methodology has been developed to measure the climate and sustainability index for companies, and this research project expands the methodology to apply it to entire industry sectors. The results presented here are the first overall industry assessments under Scope 1, 2 and 3 from 2020 through 2050. The base for the energy pathways is the scenarios scenarios published in the previous volume. The nonenergy GHG emission scenarios, broken down to agriculture & forestry and industry, are detailed and include all major greenhouse gases and aerosols. The final section of the book presents the main conclusions of the industry pathway development work and recommendations for the finance industry and policy makers. Additionally, future qualitative future investment requirements in specific technologies and measures are presented. 606 $aMeteorology & climatology$2bicssc 606 $aEnvironmental management$2bicssc 606 $aEnergy technology & engineering$2bicssc 606 $aSustainability$2bicssc 610 $aParis Climate Agreement 610 $aemission reduction targets 610 $aclimate change science 610 $asustainable finance policies 610 $aCarbon Capture and Storage 610 $aRenewable Energy 610 $aGlobal Industry Categorisation System 615 7$aMeteorology & climatology 615 7$aEnvironmental management 615 7$aEnergy technology & engineering 615 7$aSustainability 700 $aTeske$b Sven$01255956 702 $aTeske$b Sven$4oth 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910586584503321 996 $aAchieving the Paris Climate Agreement Goals$92911714 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03481nam 2200733 a 450 001 9910812443203321 005 20200520144314.0 010 $a9786612071676 010 $a1-282-07167-X 010 $a0-253-11136-6 035 $a(CKB)1000000000362404 035 $a(EBL)267710 035 $a(OCoLC)475993040 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000350600 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)12089596 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000350600 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10353134 035 $a(PQKB)10654743 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000248939 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11235979 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000248939 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10202679 035 $a(PQKB)10889508 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC267710 035 $a(OCoLC)71513351 035 $a(MdBmJHUP)muse16691 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL267710 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10132016 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL207167 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000362404 100 $a20041206d2005 ub 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aSouth Africa and the logic of regional cooperation /$fJames J. Hentz addresses changes in South Africa's strategies for regional cooperation and economic development since its transition from apartheid to democracy. Hentz focuses on why the new South African government continues to make regional cooperation a priority and what methods this dominant state uses to pursue its neighborly goals. While providing a synthetic overview of the history of regional cooperation in southern Africa, Hentz considers 606 $aRegionalism$zAfrica, Southern 606 $aAfrican cooperation 607 $aSouth Africa$xForeign relations$y1994- 607 $aSouth Africa$xForeign relations$y1989-1994 607 $aSouth Africa$xForeign economic relations 607 $aSouth Africa$xEconomic conditions$y1991- 607 $aAfrica, Southern$xEconomic integration 615 0$aRegionalism 615 0$aAfrican cooperation. 676 $a337.1/6 700 $aHentz$b James J$0597046 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910812443203321 996 $aSouth Africa and the logic of regional cooperation$91029358 997 $aUNINA
