However, rabbit husbandry should adapt to be a competitive and sustainable sector. In addition, it must maintain a balance between rabbit welfare, customer demands, and breeder requirements. Then, improvement in breeding systems is needed and may involve avoiding hormones and antibiotics in rabbit management; enhancing the efficiency of reproductive procedures such as artificial insemination systems and freezing of semen and embryos; extending the productive lifespan of does; improving genetic selection systems; and adjusting nutritional systems to optimize the physiological status of animals and the immune response. This Special Issue concerns all these challenges in increasing rabbit productivity and sustainability. 606 $aResearch & information: general$2bicssc 606 $aBiology, life sciences$2bicssc 606 $aAnimals & society$2bicssc 610 $aOryctolagus cuniculus 610 $aSNPs 610 $aSLAF-seq 610 $agenome-wide association study 610 $agrowth trait 610 $amyeloperoxidase 610 $alysozyme 610 $arabbits 610 $aviral infection 610 $arabbit hemorrhagic disease 610 $agoji berries 610 $arabbit 610 $ainsulin resistance 610 $aleptin 610 $anon-esterified fatty acids 610 $apregnancy 610 $alactation 610 $abody condition score 610 $aprincipal component analysis 610 $agene expression 610 $aendometrium 610 $aoviduct 610 $aspermatozoa 610 $aseminal plasma 610 $ainflammation 610 $aangiogenesis 610 $acorpus luteum 610 $areproduction 610 $agenomic selection 610 $aimputation 610 $alitter size 610 $agenomic simulation 610 $aartificial insemination 610 $aantibiotics 610 $aantibacterial activity 610 $asemen quality 610 $areproductive performance 610 $asperm quality 610 $acryopreservation 610 $aanimal model 610 $aassisted reproductive technology 610 $aCTSS 610 $agranulosa cells 610 $aproliferation 610 $aapoptosis 610 $ahormone secretion 610 $abody composition 610 $afertility 610 $akits born alive 610 $arabbit does 610 $afeed intake 610 $afree tri-iodothyronine 610 $athyroxine 610 $ainsulin 610 $aglucose 610 $acorticosterone 610 $aNEFA 610 $afetus 610 $aplacenta 615 7$aResearch & information: general 615 7$aBiology, life sciences 615 7$aAnimals & society 700 $aMaría García-García$b Rosa$4edt$01315230 702 $aAlvarez$b Maria Arias$4edt 702 $aMaría García-García$b Rosa$4oth 702 $aAlvarez$b Maria Arias$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910585941403321 996 $aChallenges and New Strategies on Rabbit Breeding$93032277 997 $aUNINA
