Information obtained from the study of histomorphological lesions in aquatic animals can be a useful addition when determining the general state of health of aquatic animals, especially if chronic stressors and/or pathogens are present. Compared to mammals, postmortem autolysis progresses very rapidly in most aquatic organisms. This fact makes histopathological examination quite complex and demanding, not only in a histotechnical sense. A prerequisite for a successful study is the baseline knowledge of physiological processes and histological architecture of the studied species. Therefore, the aim of this Special Issue is to contribute to the current state of knowledge on the histopathology of aquatic animals and to provide a professional and encyclopedic tool for biologists and veterinarians. 606 $aResearch & information: general$2bicssc 606 $aBiology, life sciences$2bicssc 606 $aFisheries & related industries$2bicssc 610 $amicro-nano plastics 610 $afish 610 $aorganism model 610 $ahistopathology 610 $ablood biomarkers 610 $amicrolipoma 610 $aliver 610 $aBarbus balcanicus 610 $a3D reconstruction 610 $anutrition 610 $aaquaculture 610 $afishmeal replacement 610 $aland animal proteins 610 $ahistology 610 $aintestinal microbiota 610 $aSparus aurata 610 $atoxicity 610 $aeffect 610 $ainvertebrate 610 $amussels 610 $aAeromonas spp. 610 $arainbow trout 610 $abacteria 610 $ainfection 610 $aantinutritional factors 610 $asoybean 610 $agut health 610 $aenvironmental monitoring 610 $ahistopathological biomarkers 610 $ahistopathological alterations 610 $afish gills 610 $aatrazine 610 $aPurkinje 610 $acerebellum 610 $amyocytes 610 $atoxicology 610 $aIP3Rs 610 $aVistonis Lake 610 $aphysico-chemical parameters 610 $agills 610 $aHSPs 610 $aMARKs 610 $aNa+-K+ ATPase 610 $ahepatorenal 610 $apathology 610 $atoxicosis 610 $abiomarkers 610 $aadult Xenopus laevis 615 7$aResearch & information: general 615 7$aBiology, life sciences 615 7$aFisheries & related industries 700 $aBerillis$b Panagiotis$4edt$01291009 702 $aRas?kovic?$b Boz?idar$4edt 702 $aBerillis$b Panagiotis$4oth 702 $aRas?kovic?$b Boz?idar$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910576876403321 996 $aHistopathology of Aquatic Animals$93021748 997 $aUNINA
