Recently, satellites equipped with observation cameras of various resolutions were launched, and remote sensing images are acquired by various observation methods including cluster satellites. However, the atmospheric and environmental conditions present in the observed scene degrade the quality of images or interrupt the capture of the Earth's surface information. One method to overcome this is by generating synthetic images through image simulation. Synthetic images can be generated by using statistical or knowledge-based models or by using spectral and optic-based models to create a simulated image in place of the unobtained image at a required time. Various proposed methodologies will provide economical utility in the generation of image learning materials and time series data through image simulation. The 6 published articles cover various topics and applications central to Remote sensing image simulation. Although submission to this Special Issue is now closed, the need for further in-depth research and development related to image simulation of High-spatial and spectral resolution, sensor fusion and colorization remains.I would like to take this opportunity to express my most profound appreciation to the MDPI Book staff, the editorial team of Applied Sciences journal, especially Ms. Nimo Lang, the assistant editor of this Special Issue, talented authors, and professional reviewers. 606 $aTechnology: general issues$2bicssc 606 $aHistory of engineering & technology$2bicssc 610 $aimage fusion 610 $arandom forest regression 610 $aSAR image 610 $apanchromatic image 610 $ahigh-resolution 610 $amulti-beam LiDAR 610 $ain situ self-calibration 610 $amobile mapping system 610 $a3D point cloud 610 $abackpack-based mapping 610 $aaerial orthoimage 610 $aSentinel-2 610 $asuper-resolution 610 $aimage simulation 610 $aresidual U-Net 610 $ainterferometry 610 $aremote sensing 610 $acomputational simulation 610 $adenoising 610 $adetection 610 $aSAR imagery 610 $afusing region proposals 610 $aKOMPSAT-3A 610 $astrip 610 $asensor modeling 610 $aRPCs 610 $amosaic 610 $amatching 610 $adiscrepancy 615 7$aTechnology: general issues 615 7$aHistory of engineering & technology 700 $aEo$b Yang Dam$4edt$01326298 702 $aEo$b Yang Dam$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910566468703321 996 $aImage Simulation in Remote Sensing$93037279 997 $aUNINA
