Industry, academic, and government researchers are developing and validating analytical methods to extract, separate, identify, and quantitate a variety of analytes from these innovative tobacco products using a wide range of analytical techniques. These analytes include constituents such as nicotine, degradants and impurities, flavors, non-tobacco ingredients, HPHCs, and other currently unknown constituents. In this Special Issue, we received nine contributions that covered the latest analytical methods that have been developed and applied for the chemical characterization or exposure assessment to tobacco product constituents of innovative non-combustible products. This Special Issue is representative of the importance of analytical sciences research in characterizing innovative non-combustible products for guiding product design, determining relative product performance, ensuring consistency during the manufacturing process, informing toxicological risk assessment, and enabling regulatory reporting. The current advances in the development and applications of the analytical methods reported in this Special Issue can be used to inform the harm reduction potential of innovative non-combustible products for adult smokers. 606 $aAnalytical chemistry$2bicssc 606 $aChemistry$2bicssc 606 $aResearch & information: general$2bicssc 610 $a"hidden formaldehyde" 610 $a2,4-DNPH derivatization 610 $a3-hydroxybenzo[a]pyrene 610 $aaerosol 610 $aalkaloids 610 $abiomarker of exposure 610 $achemical characterization 610 $acompliance marker 610 $aconstituents 610 $aderivatization 610 $adissolution 610 $ae-cigarette 610 $ae-liquid 610 $aelectronic cigarette 610 $aENDS 610 $aequivalence 610 $aformaldehyde 610 $aformaldehyde-containing hemiacetal/acetal adducts 610 $aGC-MS 610 $aGC-MS 610 $aHPHC 610 $aHPHCs 610 $ahuman biomonitoring 610 $aJUUL 610 $aLC-HRMS 610 $aLC-MS/MS 610 $amethod development 610 $amethod validation 610 $amodern oral nicotine products 610 $an/a 610 $anicotine 610 $anicotine degradants 610 $anicotine degradation products 610 $anicotine dissolution 610 $anicotine extraction 610 $anicotine pouches 610 $anicotine release 610 $anicotine-related impurities 610 $anon-targeted analysis 610 $aon!® nicotine pouches 610 $aoral tobacco derived nicotine (OTDN) pouches 610 $apotentially reduced-risk products 610 $aproduct assessment 610 $aproduct characterizations 610 $apropylene glycol 610 $areduced-risk products 610 $arelease profile 610 $asmokeless tobacco product 610 $asnus 610 $aurine 610 $avalidation 615 7$aAnalytical chemistry 615 7$aChemistry 615 7$aResearch & information: general 700 $aAldeek$b Fadi$4edt$01332382 702 $aAldeek$b Fadi$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910566466903321 996 $aMethod Development and Applications for Reduced-Risk Products in Separation Science$93040915 997 $aUNINA
