For this purpose, a terminological analysis has been conducted, based on a corpus of texts produced by the EU in this domain. A corpus-based approach to terminology has been chosen as it opens up the possibility to gather both conceptual and linguistic as well as usage information about the terminological units. Moreover, it allows the study of terms in the context of communicative situations and enables the analysis of concordances that can be used to reveal possible ideological aspects of the terminology involved. The book not only provides a detailed and comprehensive report on the status quo of the EU's terminology in this field. It also reflects the evolution of its terminology since the establishment of a common European development cooperation policy and thus against the background of an ever-changing socio-economic and political situation. The findings are meant to contribute to a better knowledge and understanding of European development cooperation policy as well as to help improve communication between professionals in European and national bodies. 517 $aCorpus-Based Analysis of the Terminology of the European Union’s Development Cooperation Policy 606 $aLexicography$2bicssc 610 $aAfrican 610 $aAigner 610 $aAnalysis 610 $aBased 610 $aCaribbean 610 $aCooperation 610 $aCorpus 610 $aCotonou Agreement 610 $aDevelopment 610 $aelectronic text corpora 610 $aEuropean 610 $aGroup 610 $aKast 610 $aLomé Conventions 610 $aPacific 610 $aPolicy 610 $aStates 610 $aTerminology 610 $aTreaty of Rome 610 $aUnion?s 610 $awith 610 $aYaoundé Conventions 615 7$aLexicography 700 $aKast-Aigner$b Judith$4auth$01319331 702 $aKast-Aigner$b Judith$4aut 712 02$aWirtschaftsuniversita?t Wien$4edt 801 0$bPH02 801 1$bPH02 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910563183803321 996 $aA Corpus-Based Analysis of the Terminology of the European Union?s Development Cooperation Policy$93033783 997 $aUNINA
