The primary environmental effects induced by earthquakes as well as the secondary effects (sensu Environmental Seismic Intensity - ESI 2007 scale) must be considered for a more correct and complete evaluation of seismic hazards, at both regional and local scales. This Special Issue aims to collect all contributions that, using different methodologies, integrate new data produced with multi-disciplinary and innovative methods. These methodologies are essential for the identification and characterization of seismically active areas, and for the development of new hazard models, obtained using different survey techniques. The topic attracted a lot of interest, 19 peer-reviewed articles were collected; moreover, different areas of the world have been analyzed through these methodologies: Italy, USA, Spain, Australia, Ecuador, Guatemala, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Russia, China, Japan, and Nepal. 606 $aResearch & information: general$2bicssc 610 $aactive fault 610 $aamalgamation 610 $aArctic-Asian seismic belt 610 $aattenuation 610 $aAustralian earthquakes 610 $acatalog incompleteness 610 $acoseismic landslides 610 $aCPO 610 $acrustal model 610 $acyclic triaxial tests 610 $aDIC 610 $adigital elevation model (DEM) 610 $adisaster 610 $aearth observation (EO) 610 $aearthquake 610 $aearthquake archaeological effects (EAEs) 610 $aearthquake catalogues 610 $aearthquake environmental effects 610 $aearthquake environmental effects (EEEs) 610 $aearthquake forecasting 610 $aearthquake hazard 610 $aearthquake hazards 610 $aearthquake mechanism 610 $aearthquake-induced landslide 610 $aEcuador 610 $aEEE database 610 $aemergency shelter 610 $aESI 2007 scale 610 $aESI scale 610 $aESI scale 2007 610 $aESI-07 scale 610 $aexpert estimate 610 $afault barrier 610 $afully probabilistic technique 610 $ageographic information systems (GIS) 610 $ageological control 610 $ageorisk 610 $aGMPE 610 $aground effects 610 $aground-shaking map 610 $aGuatemala 610 $ahistorical and recent earthquakes 610 $ain situ tests 610 $aintensity maps 610 $aIntraplate earthquake 610 $aintraplate region 610 $ainventory map 610 $ainversion 610 $aKyrgyzstan 610 $alaboratory tests 610 $alandslide 610 $aLate Cenozoic deformation 610 $aliquefaction 610 $amachine learning 610 $amacroseismic intensity 610 $amass movements 610 $amaximum possible magnitudes of earthquakes 610 $amicrotremor H/V spectral ratio 610 $aMMI 610 $amodel selection 610 $aNewmark's method 610 $aone class classification 610 $apaleoearthquake 610 $apaleoliquefaction 610 $apaleoseismogenic structure 610 $aPedernales earthquake 610 $aPohang earthquake 610 $apotential seismicity 610 $aprobabilistic seismic hazard 610 $aregional segment 610 $areverse earthquake 610 $arisk 610 $aSakhalin Island 610 $aseismic hazard 610 $aseismic scenarios 610 $aseismic zoning 610 $aseismotectonic deformation 610 $ashear-wave velocity structure 610 $asite amplification 610 $asoil liquefaction 610 $aSouth Korea 610 $aSpain 610 $aspatial resolution 610 $aStructure-from-Motion 610 $asuitability analysis 610 $asurface rupture 610 $aSuusamyr earthquake 610 $aTien Shan 610 $aUlaanbaatar 610 $aweighted coefficient 615 7$aResearch & information: general 700 $aPorfido$b Sabina$4edt$0299986 702 $aAlessio$b Giuliana$4edt 702 $aGaudiosi$b Germana$4edt 702 $aNappi$b Rosa$4edt 702 $aPorfido$b Sabina$4oth 702 $aAlessio$b Giuliana$4oth 702 $aGaudiosi$b Germana$4oth 702 $aNappi$b Rosa$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910557694203321 996 $aNew Perspectives in the Definition$93026815 997 $aUNINA
