The vividness of mental images is a potentially helpful construct which may be suitable, as it may correspond to consciousness or aspects of the consciousness of images. In this context, a complicating factor seems to be the surprising variety in what is meant by the term vividness or how it is used or theorized. To fill some of the gaps, the goal of the present Special Issue is to create a publication outlet where authors can fully explore through sound research the missing theoretical and empirical links between vividness, consciousness and mental imagery across disciplines, neuroscience, psychology, philosophy, cognitive science, to mention the most obvious ones, as well as transdisciplinary methodological (single, combined, or multiple) approaches. 517 $aVividness, Consciousness, and Mental Imagery 606 $aPsychology$2bicssc 610 $avividness 610 $amental imagery 610 $aconsciousness 610 $acognitive neuroscience 610 $aneuroimaging 610 $acognitive psychology 610 $abehavior 610 $averbal report 610 $aphenomenology 610 $aperception 610 $aDMN 610 $aTPN 610 $afamiliarity 610 $amemory 610 $aamodal completion 610 $ashape perception 610 $aperceptual organization 610 $adepth perception 610 $avisual illusions 610 $acolor-gustatory synesthesia 610 $ataste 610 $ataste modulator 610 $asynesthesia 610 $abibliometrics 610 $amap of science 610 $aterm co-occurrence 610 $acontrast polarity 610 $asimplicity principle 610 $alikelihood principle 610 $asimplicity-likelihood equivalence 610 $aBayes 610 $aclassical information theory 610 $amodern information theory 610 $aBayes' framework 610 $avisual imagery 610 $astroke 610 $aposterior cerebral artery 610 $aaphantasia 610 $aprosopagnosia 610 $avisual perception 615 7$aPsychology 700 $aD'Angiulli$b Amedeo$4edt$01330412 702 $aD'Angiulli$b Amedeo$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910557646203321 996 $aVividness, Consciousness, and Mental Imagery$93039842 997 $aUNINA
