The term ?geoheritage? refers to a particular type of natural resources represented by sites of special geological significance, rarity or beauty that are representative of a region and of its geological history, events, and processes. These sites are also known as ?geosites? and, as well as archaeological, architectonic, and historical sites, can be considered as part of the cultural estate of a country. ?Geotourism? is an emerging type of sustainable tourism, which concentrates on geosites, focusing on visitor knowledge, environmental education, and amusement. Geotourism may be very useful for geological sciences divulgation and may provide additional opportunities for the development of rural areas, generally not included among the main touristic attractions. The collected papers focused on these main topics with different methods and approaches and can be grouped as follows: i) papers dealing with geosite promotion and valorization in protected areas; ii) papers dealing with geosite promotion and valorization in non-protected areas; iii) papers dealing with geosite promotion by exhibition, remote sensing analysis, and apps; iv) papers investigating geotourism and geoheritage from tourists? perspectives. 606 $aResearch & information: general$2bicssc 606 $aEarth sciences, geography, environment, planning$2bicssc 610 $ageotourism resources 610 $acultural tourism 610 $aarcheology 610 $atouristic itinerary 610 $avalorization 610 $ainner-mountain areas 610 $aApennines 610 $acentral Italy 610 $aisolated relief 610 $ageological heritage 610 $asouthern Apulia 610 $aItaly 610 $ageotourism 610 $ageoheritage 610 $aurban geology 610 $ageodiversity 610 $aSWOT analysis 610 $arural regions 610 $ageomorphosites 610 $ageosites 610 $aquantitative assessment 610 $aMalta 610 $ageoresources 610 $aInternet 610 $aIceland 610 $ageosite 610 $afaults 610 $afractures 610 $adykes 610 $aEarth Science communication 610 $ageopark 610 $aregional development 610 $amining site 610 $aZaruma 610 $aEl Sexmo 610 $atourist mine 610 $ageology-based tourism 610 $acultural heritage 610 $aweb-GIS 610 $asmartphone 610 $aAlto Molise 610 $aprotected areas 610 $aweekend tourism 610 $atourists? opinion 610 $anational parks 610 $aenvironmental education 610 $aCilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni Geopark 610 $aMiddle Bussento Karst System 610 $aSesia Val Grande UNESCO Global Geopark 610 $afieldtrips 610 $avirtual tours 610 $amultidisciplinary approach 610 $aItalian NW Alps 610 $ageoparks 610 $ageological knowledge 610 $ageoarcheology 610 $ageomorphosite 610 $ageoitinerary 610 $ageological science divulgation 615 7$aResearch & information: general 615 7$aEarth sciences, geography, environment, planning 700 $aSantangelo$b Nicoletta$4edt$0273064 702 $aValente$b Ettore$4edt 702 $aSantangelo$b Nicoletta$4oth 702 $aValente$b Ettore$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910557632003321 996 $aGeoheritage and Geotourism Resources$93011630 997 $aUNINA
