There are numerous indicators of inequality, and territorial specificities give rise to important and subtle differences. What is less debatable is the spatial expansion of inequality (from more outlying, poorer countries to the most developed ones) and its generalization on all scales (from rural to urban areas, and from large metropolises to small cities). Mobility and housing lie at the root of many of these processes, which are represented by phenomena that are often interconnected, such as gentrification and the elite social classes; impoverishment and immigrants in search of work; and segregation and refugees; among many others. In this book, we try to offer a Spanish-based vision of what we call urban geographies in transition-that is, urban geographies in which the key stages, for the purpose of analysis, are the real estate bubble (1996-2007), the subsequent crisis (2008-2013), and the ensuing recovery (2014-2020), without overlooking the impact of the current COVID-19 crisis on the configuration of a new spatial order in cities. 517 $aFragmented City 606 $aResearch & information: general$2bicssc 610 $aAirbnb 610 $aCanary Islands 610 $acentral area 610 $acritical geography 610 $aeconomic crisis 610 $aecosystem services 610 $aenvironmental justice 610 $aevictions 610 $afinancialization 610 $agentrification 610 $ahistoric center 610 $ahousing crisis 610 $ahousing studies 610 $ainternational migrations 610 $alarge urban areas 610 $aliving conditions 610 $aMadrid 610 $amarket urbanism 610 $amaster plans 610 $amedium-sized cities 610 $amegaprojects 610 $amortgage foreclosure 610 $an/a 610 $aneoliberal urbanism 610 $aneoliberalism 610 $apandemic 610 $apopulation 610 $apopulation growth 610 $apost-crisis period 610 $apost-Fordist capitalism 610 $aproperty bubble 610 $aproperty repossession 610 $areal estate dispossession 610 $areal estate market 610 $aresidential segregation 610 $aSanta Cruz de Tenerife 610 $ashort-term rentals 610 $aSpain 610 $aSpanish cities 610 $aspatial inequalities 610 $aspatial reconfiguration 610 $aspeculation 610 $aTarragona 610 $atourist gentrification 610 $atourist housing 610 $atourist rejuvenation 610 $atouristification 610 $aurban agents 610 $aurban development 610 $aurban inequality 610 $aurban parks 610 $aurban planning 610 $aurban project 610 $aurban projects 610 $aurban transformation 610 $aurbanization process 615 7$aResearch & information: general 700 $aParren?o Castellano$b Juan Manuel$4edt$01302763 702 $aPin?eira-Mantin?a?n$b Mari?a Jose?$4edt 702 $aGonza?lez Pe?rez$b Jesu?s$4edt 702 $aParren?o Castellano$b Juan Manuel$4oth 702 $aPin?eira-Mantin?a?n$b Mari?a Jose?$4oth 702 $aGonza?lez Pe?rez$b Jesu?s$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910557620203321 996 $aFragmented City: International Mobility and Housing in Spain$93026526 997 $aUNINA
