The sources of odourous substances are manifold. In urban areas, these include restaurants, small manufacturing trades, and other sources, which might cause complaints. In the suburbs, wastewater treatment plants, landfill sites, and other infrastructures are the expected major odour sources. These problems are often caused be the accelerated growth of cities. In rural sites, livestock farming and the spreading of manure on the fields is blamed for severe odour annoyance. In fact, environmental odours are considered to be a common cause of public complaints by residents to local authorities, regional, or national environmental agencies. This Special Issue of Atmosphere will address the entire chain, from the quantification of odour sources, abatement methods, the dilution in the atmosphere, and the assessment of odour exposure for the assessment of annoyance. In particular, this Special Issue aims to encourage contributions dealing with field trials and dispersion modeling to assess the degree of annoyance and the quantitative success of abatement measures. 606 $aTechnology: general issues$2bicssc 606 $aHistory of engineering & technology$2bicssc 610 $aenvironmental odour 610 $aemission 610 $aannoyance 610 $aseparation distance 610 $adispersion models 610 $aempirical equations 610 $aodour 610 $adispersion modelling 610 $awastewater treatment 610 $aodour impact criteria 610 $aseparation distances 610 $aodour legislation 610 $aair quality 610 $aair pollution 610 $aodor 610 $asmell 610 $aodour units 610 $aagriculture 610 $aenvironmental regulations 610 $apolicy 610 $aVOC 610 $aGC-QTOF-MS 610 $aGC-IMS 610 $awastewater treatment plant 610 $aair dispersion model 610 $adose-response relationship 610 $aodor impact criterion (OIC) 610 $aperception-related odor exposure 610 $awastewater treatment plant (WWTP) 610 $aOdors 610 $aOdor Patrol 610 $aOdor Profile Method 610 $amonitoring Odors 610 $afield inspection 610 $aodour impact 610 $aodour modelling 610 $aolfactometry 610 $aproficiency test 610 $abench loop 610 $an-butanol 610 $asampling uncertainties 610 $aodorants 610 $aSOAV 610 $aOTV 610 $alivestock 610 $aodour dispersion modelling 610 $aclimate change 610 $astability classification 615 7$aTechnology: general issues 615 7$aHistory of engineering & technology 700 $aSchauberger$b Gu?nther$4edt$01314873 702 $aPiringer$b Martin$4edt 702 $aWu$b Chuandong$4edt 702 $aKoziel$b Jacek$4edt 702 $aSchauberger$b Gu?nther$4oth 702 $aPiringer$b Martin$4oth 702 $aWu$b Chuandong$4oth 702 $aKoziel$b Jacek$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910557612003321 996 $aEnvironmental Odour$93032076 997 $aUNINA
