Some marine bacteria are prolific producers of natural products, occurring either free-living or, as recently shown, in symbiosis with marine animals. Recent advances in DNA sequencing have led to an enormous increase in published bacterial genomes and bioinformatics tools to analyze natural product biosynthetic potential by various ?genome mining? approaches. Similarly, analytical NMR and MS methods for the characterization and comparison of metabolomes of natural product producers have advanced. Novel interdisciplinary approaches combine genomics and metabolomics data for accelerated and targeted natural product discovery. This Special Issue invites articles from both genomics- and metabolomics-driven studies on marine bacteria with a focus on natural product discovery and characterization. We particularly welcome articles that combine genomics and metabolomic approaches for the dereplication and characterization of marine bacterial natural products. 606 $aMedicine$2bicssc 610 $aMoorena bouillonii 610 $amarine natural products 610 $achemogeography 610 $ametabolomics 610 $anatural products 610 $adereplication 610 $aantibiotics 610 $amarine sponges 610 $aplant pathogen 610 $acyclodepsipeptides 610 $amarine Actinobacteria 610 $aStreptomyces spp. 610 $aantibiotic 610 $asea cucumber 610 $aHCV 610 $aActinobacteria 610 $amarine 610 $aPolar 610 $agenomics 610 $aspecialised metabolites 610 $achitin 610 $achitinase 610 $achitin degradation machinery 610 $aPseudoalteromonas 610 $asecondary metabolites 610 $abacterial natural products 610 $amass spectrometry 610 $agenome mining 610 $apaired omics 610 $akeratinases 610 $akeratinolytic proteases 610 $amarine-derived Streptomyces 610 $agenomic comparison 610 $acyanobacteria 610 $asymbionts 610 $acomparative genomics 610 $abiosynthetic gene clusters 610 $aIndonesia 610 $abiodiversity 610 $anovel antibiotics 610 $adrug screening 610 $abioactivity 610 $agene cluster networking 610 $aGNPS 610 $aenterococci 610 $agenome-wide analysis 610 $abacteriocins 610 $aprobiotics 610 $awild marine species 610 $aNeolyngbya 610 $aanticancer 610 $adrug discovery 610 $aSouth China Sea 610 $awenchangamide 610 $aMoorea producens 610 $aCuSO4·5H2O assisted 610 $adifferential gDNA isolation 610 $afilamentous bacteria 610 $amicrococcin P1 and P2 610 $astalked diatoms 615 7$aMedicine 700 $aCrüsemann$b Max$4edt$01328687 702 $aCrüsemann$b Max$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910557611903321 996 $aNatural Product Genomics and Metabolomics of Marine Bacteria$93038825 997 $aUNINA
