The development of natural peptide/protein-based, toxin-based, and antibody-based drugs can significantly improve the biomedical efficiency of disease-specific therapy. The focus of this Special Issue of Biomolecules will be on the most recent advances related to novel peptides/proteins, antibodies, and toxins as forms of medicinal therapy. Recent advances in the discovery and development of these natural biomolecules for use in targeted therapy and immunotherapy against chronic diseases (e.g., cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and rheumatoid arthritis) will be addressed. The discussion on using novel disease-specific proteins/peptides/toxins/antibodies along with currently available FDA-approved drugs as combinatorial treatments will also be encouraged in this context. Finally, an overview of some of the selected promising natural biomolecules that are potentially able to address the forthcoming challenges in this field will be included. Both research (in particular) and review articles proposing novelties or overviews, respectively, are welcome. 606 $aHumanities$2bicssc 606 $aSocial interaction$2bicssc 610 $aDAPK1 610 $aSUMO 610 $aSENP 610 $aprotein degradation 610 $apost-translational modification 610 $aamphibian Bowman-Birk inhibitor 610 $aTat peptide 610 $amolecular cloning 610 $aantifungal 610 $adrug design 610 $aprotease inhibitor 610 $anatural-based compound 610 $aanticancer therapy 610 $alung cancer 610 $asurvivin 610 $aapoptosis 610 $aSTAT3 610 $acolorectal cancer 610 $aorientin 610 $acell cycle arrest 610 $aBcl-2 family proteins 610 $aAstragalus membranaceus 610 $ainsulin 610 $aPI3K 610 $aAKT 610 $aPPAR? 610 $aPDX-1 610 $aPetasites japonicus 610 $aAsteraceae 610 $alignan 610 $aanti-inflammation 610 $aNO 610 $aPGE2 610 $aiNOS 610 $aCOX-2 610 $amolecular docking 610 $apeptides 610 $akynurenines 610 $abinding affinity 610 $a?-opioid receptor 610 $apharmacophore 610 $aG-protein activation 610 $afucoidan 610 $aPLGA 610 $adocetaxel 610 $adrug delivery system 610 $aanticancer therapy/cancer treatment 610 $ahIAPP 610 $aamyloidogenesis 610 $ainsulin granules 610 $aendoplasmic reticulum 610 $aanionic lipids 610 $aF23R variant 610 $a?-sheet transitions 610 $a?-cell cytotoxicity 610 $aunfolded protein response 610 $apomegranate 610 $apunicalagin 610 $atannins 610 $agingiva 610 $afibroblasts 610 $aantioxidant 610 $awound healing 610 $abranched-chain fatty acids 610 $aConidiobolus heterosporus 610 $aperoxisome proliferator-activated receptor ? 610 $alipid metabolism 610 $afatty acid oxidation 610 $ahepatocyte 615 7$aHumanities 615 7$aSocial interaction 700 $aKwok$b Hang Fai$4edt$01310431 702 $aKwok$b Hang Fai$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910557607403321 996 $aNovel Natural-based Biomolecules Discovery for Tackling Chronic Diseases$93039486 997 $aUNINA
