Eumenes of Cardia was a royal secretary who, in the years following the death of Alexander the Great became a major contender for power. Despite the fact that he had been chiefly an administrator rather than one of Alexander?s elite military commanders, and that he was a Greek from the city of Cardia, as opposed to a native Macedonian, Eumenes came close to securing control of the Asian remnants of Alexander?s empire. His history is important because our sources for the years immediately following the Conqueror?s death are dominated by the Cardian?s story. Moreover, his death marked in many respects the approaching end of the Macedonian dynasty of kings who had ruled Macedonia since the 8th c. BC, and his life illuminated both the nature of the Macedonian heritage and the possibilities of the new age ushered in by the conquests of the great Alexander. 410 0$aMnemosyne, bibliotheca classica Batava.$pSupplementum.$pHistory and archaeology of classical antiquity ;$vVolume 383. 606 $aGenerals$zGreece$vBiography 607 $aGreece$xHistory$yMacedonian Hegemony, 323-281 B.C 607 $aMacedonia$xHistory$yDiadochi, 323-276 B.C 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aGenerals 676 $a938/.07092 700 $aAnson$b Edward$0598861 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910511376803321 996 $aEumenes of Cardia$91028923 997 $aUNINA LEADER 06473nam 2202113z- 450 001 9910557438503321 005 20210501 035 $a(CKB)5400000000043337 035 $a(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/68432 035 $a(oapen)doab68432 035 $a(EXLCZ)995400000000043337 100 $a20202105d2021 |y 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurmn|---annan 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 00$aForest, Foods and Nutrition 210 $aBasel, Switzerland$cMDPI - Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute$d2021 215 $a1 online resource (342 p.) 311 08$a3-0365-0042-1 311 08$a3-0365-0043-X 330 $aThe Special Issue, entitled "Forest, Food and Nutrition", is focused on understanding of the intersection and linking existing between forests, food, and nutrition. Forest ecosystems are an important biodiversity environment resource for many species. Forests and trees play a key role in food production and have a relevant impact also on nutrition. Plants and animals in the forests enable nutrient-rich food sources to be available, and can provide important contributions to dietary diversity, quality, and quantity. 606 $aBiology, life sciences$2bicssc 606 $aCultural studies: food and society$2bicssc 606 $aResearch and information: general$2bicssc 610 $aABTS 610 $aAcanthopanax 610 $aAfrica 610 $aAgew and Sidama 610 $aagroforestry 610 $aaliphatic esters 610 $aAmhara 610 $aantioxidant 610 $aantioxidant activity 610 $aassessment of wild food 610 $aauxin 610 $aAyeyarwaddy region 610 $abioactive compounds 610 $abiocontrol 610 $abiodiversity 610 $abioeconomy 610 $abiological activity 610 $abiologically activecompounds 610 $ablackberry 610 $aButyrospermum parkii 610 $aChamaemelum fuscatum 610 $achamomile 610 $aChangbai Mountains 610 $achaste tree 610 $achitinase 610 $aciwujia 610 $acommunity garden 610 $aCompositae 610 $aconservation 610 $acontingent valuation 610 $acosmetics 610 $aCrataegus 610 $aCyclocarya paliurus 610 $adedicated databases 610 $adimensions in science 610 $aDPPH 610 $aeconomic 610 $aedible forest products 610 $aedible landscape 610 $aelectrochemical oxidation 610 $aEnguday 610 $aESCC (Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma) 610 $aessential oil 610 $aessential oils 610 $aestimation of potential 610 $aethnic groups 610 $aethnomycology 610 $aextracts 610 $aferns 610 $aflavonoid 610 $aflavonoids 610 $afolk taxonomy 610 $afood 610 $afood and nutrition security 610 $afood composition databases 610 $afood processing industry 610 $afood security 610 $aforest 610 $aforest foods 610 $aforests and trees 610 $afruit 610 $aFulani 610 $afungal pathogen 610 $agender 610 $agreen coffee 610 $ahawthorn 610 $ahealth benefits 610 $ahealth-promoting properties. 610 $aheavy metal contamination 610 $aherbal medicine 610 $ahistorically polluted area 610 $ain vitro studies 610 $ain vivo studies 610 $aJNK (c-Jun N-terminal kinase) 610 $ajujube 610 $aKhingan Mountains 610 $alivelihoods 610 $alocal communities 610 $aLysobacter antibioticus HS124 610 $amangrove forest 610 $amarket 610 $amarketing 610 $aMediterranean 610 $amethacrylate 610 $amineral concentration 610 $amushroom 610 $aMyanmar 610 $anatural population 610 $aneglected and underutilized species (NUS) 610 $anon-edible forest products 610 $anon-wood forest product 610 $anovel food 610 $anutraceuticals 610 $anutritional value 610 $ap38 610 $aphenolic acids 610 $aphenolics 610 $aphenylpropanoid biosynthesis 610 $aphytonutrients 610 $aplant extracts 610 $apodophyllotoxin 610 $aPolypodiopsida 610 $aproduct differentiation 610 $aproduction 610 $apteridophytes 610 $aRhamnaceae 610 $aROS (reactive oxygen species) 610 $aS. greggii 610 $aS. mellifera 610 $aS. munzii 610 $aS. officinalis 610 $aS. officinalis "Icterina" 610 $aS. rutilans 610 $aSalvia Africana 610 $aseasonal dynamic 610 $asecondary metabolite 610 $aseed development 610 $aSiberian ginseng 610 $asolvent 610 $astructure-activity relationship 610 $asustainable agriculture 610 $atechnology and innovation (STI) 610 $atranscriptome analysis 610 $atree 610 $atriterpenoid 610 $atropical forest areas 610 $atyrosinase inhibition 610 $aUlmus pumila 610 $aurban consumers 610 $aurban horticulture 610 $aUV-VIS 610 $aVitellaria paradoxa 610 $aVitex agnus-castus L. 610 $awalnut (Juglans regia L.) 610 $awild edible plants 610 $awild edible tree species 610 $awild food 610 $awild harvesting 615 7$aBiology, life sciences 615 7$aCultural studies: food and society 615 7$aResearch and information: general 700 $aDurazzo$b Alessandra$4edt$01296666 702 $aLucarini$b Massimo$4edt 702 $aSantini$b Antonello$4edt 702 $aZaccardelli$b Massimo$4edt 702 $aDurazzo$b Alessandra$4oth 702 $aLucarini$b Massimo$4oth 702 $aSantini$b Antonello$4oth 702 $aZaccardelli$b Massimo$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910557438503321 996 $aForest, Foods and Nutrition$93027074 997 $aUNINA
