It is a multifactorial heterogeneous disease characterized by the transformation of normal cells into malignant cells, which acquire an uncontrolled growth, immortality, invasiveness, and ability to form distant metastasis. Natural bioactive molecules may interfere with these processes and inhibit the carcinogenesis process. In this book, new molecules and extracts, mainly derived from plants, have been described as being able to alter tumor cell behavior and target several abnormal molecular pathways in cancer cells. Among different cancer cells, the more studied include those derived from glioblastoma, osteosarcoma, lung, breast and gastric cancer. These natural products could be an attractive source for the development of new preventative and therapeutic agents against cancer. They may be more selective and have weaker adverse effects compared to conventional chemotherapy drugs that are actually used for cancer treatment. Clinical trials are necessary to demonstrate whether the in vitro and in vivo animal data are reproduced in humans before the application of natural products in cancer prevention and treatment. 606 $aResearch & information: general$2bicssc 606 $aBiology, life sciences$2bicssc 610 $acytotoxic activity 610 $aNCI-60 cancer cell line 610 $apristimerin 610 $aSalacia crassifolia 610 $aCelastraceae 610 $aBrazilian Cerrado biome 610 $aSalacia elliptica 610 $aCheiloclinium cognatum 610 $aPlenckia populnea 610 $aAspergillus fumigatus 610 $aCordyceps sinensis 610 $aisochromanes 610 $achiral resolution 610 $aECD calculation 610 $acytotoxicity 610 $acoronarin D 610 $aJNK 610 $aosteosarcoma 610 $aZeylenone 610 $agastric cancer 610 $ainvasion 610 $amigration 610 $aapoptosis 610 $aanti-cancer agents 610 $aanthraquinones 610 $aglycosyltransferase 610 $aDendrobium officinale 610 $astructure elucidation 610 $aanti-tumor activity 610 $aplantation mode 610 $aAR 610 $aGanoderma tsugae 610 $alipogenesis 610 $aprostate cancer 610 $aSREBP-1 610 $aursolic acid 610 $abetulinic acid 610 $atriterpenoids 610 $anecrotic 610 $aquercetin 610 $aquercetagetin 610 $apatuletin 610 $alichen 610 $asecondary metabolites 610 $atumidulin 610 $astemness potential 610 $acolorectal cancer cells 610 $aoncogene 610 $atranscriptional regulation 610 $aneferine 610 $aFAK/S6K1 610 $aautophagy 610 $ahuman neuroblastoma cells 610 $anatural yellow Monascus pigments 610 $awater-soluble 610 $aantioxidation 610 $aMCF-7 cells 610 $aphloretin 610 $acell proliferation 610 $ainflammation 610 $aglucose uptake 610 $aCatalpa speciosa 610 $aTaxus cuspidata 610 $aMagnolia acuminata 610 $aphenols 610 $aantioxidants 610 $aanticancer 610 $aColocasia esculenta 610 $afood bioactive 610 $atarin 610 $astable nanocapsules 610 $aentrapment efficiency 610 $ano-toxicity 610 $apreclinical tests 610 $aantitumoral activity 610 $achemotherapeutic adjuvant 610 $agrape leaves 610 $aASE 610 $aTP 610 $aAntioxidant activities 610 $aAntiproliferative 610 $apro-apoptotic effects 610 $aGene expression 610 $aNutraceuticals 610 $aCucurbitacin B 610 $agefitinib-resistant NSCLC 610 $aEGFR 610 $alysosomal degradation 610 $aCIP2A 610 $azerumbone 610 $acancer 610 $aNF-?B 610 $aIL-6/JAK2/STAT3 610 $aAkt 610 $aFOXO1 610 $amultiple myeloma 610 $aquality control 610 $anaringenin 610 $aflavonoids 610 $atraditional preparation 610 $acancer stem cells 610 $aphytochemicals 610 $aplant-derived foods 610 $afruit 610 $avegetable 610 $acell signaling 610 $aArtemisia absinthium 610 $aendoplasmic reticulum stress 610 $amitochondrial-dependent pathway 610 $amelanoma 610 $abee venom 610 $amelittin 610 $atemozolomide 610 $aAKT 610 $aMAPK 610 $aantrodin C 610 $amTOR 610 $ametabolic stability 610 $acapsazepine 610 $ainflammatory diseases 610 $aROS 610 $aTRPV1 610 $aPI3K/AKT/mTOR 610 $aCLE-10 610 $aLC3 610 $aMDA-MB-231 610 $alactoferrin hydrolysate 610 $acopper 610 $amanganese 610 $agastric cancer cells 610 $aanti-cancer activity 610 $amolecular mechanism 610 $anatural product alkaloids 610 $acephalotaxine 610 $aprotein synthesis inhibition 610 $aantiproliferation agents 610 $afolk medicine 610 $aDLD-1 cells 610 $adoxorubicin 610 $achemotherapy 610 $adrug resistance 610 $aCrataBL 610 $aglioblastoma 610 $amesenchymal stem cells 610 $amicroenvironment 610 $aplant lectin 610 $aprotease inhibitor 610 $acryptolepine 610 $aneocryptolepine 610 $aisocryptolepine 610 $aantiproliferative activity 610 $astructure activity relationships 610 $aLicochalcone A 610 $aATM-Chk2 610 $a13-ethylberberine 610 $amitochondrial ROS 610 $aRT-R breast cancer cells 610 $adiallyl disulfide 610 $aPI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway 610 $aPulsatilla saponin D 610 $aSB365 610 $aglioblastoma multiforme 610 $aautophagic flux inhibition 610 $alysosomal membrane permeabilization 610 $amitochondrial membrane potential 610 $aCLEFMA 610 $ap38 610 $aproanthocyanins 610 $aTNF-? 610 $alung adenocarcinoma 610 $anatural compounds 610 $acervical cancer 610 $acell cycle arrest 610 $adicentrine 610 $ametastasis 610 $aglioma 610 $asemi-synthetic derivative 610 $aingenol 610 $aEuphorbia tirucalli 610 $aprotein kinase C 610 $aseaweed 610 $aporphyran 610 $acarrageenan 610 $aanti-cancer 610 $anatural products 615 7$aResearch & information: general 615 7$aBiology, life sciences 700 $aFabiani$b Roberto$4edt$01314851 702 $aFabiani$b Roberto$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910557419703321 996 $aAntitumoral Properties of Natural Products$93032047 997 $aUNINA
