The goal was immediate because the ultimate purpose was to help bring disturbed watersheds to a better condition or a utopian sustainable status. The steps followed to attain this objective included publishing studies on the understanding of factors and variables that control hydrology and water quality changes in response to human activities. Following this first step, the Special Issue selected work that described adaption measures capable of improving the watershed condition (water availability and quality), namely LULC conversions (e.g., monocultures into agro-forestry systems). Concerning the LULC measures, however, efficacy was questioned unless supported by public programs that force consumers to participate in concomitant costs, because conversions may be viewed as an environmental service. 606 $aResearch & information: general$2bicssc 610 $aflood vulnerability 610 $aland use conflicts 610 $awater management 610 $asoil conservation 610 $aspatial multi-criteria analysis 610 $ageographic information system 610 $awater pollution 610 $ariparian forest 610 $aenvironmental Law 610 $aanthropogenic catchment 610 $awatershed management 610 $aland use policy 610 $achanges in hydrological components 610 $aeffects of human activities 610 $aLUCC 610 $aWRUBAP 610 $aYiluo River 610 $aSWAT 610 $awater balance components 610 $aLand Use and Land Cover changes 610 $awildfires 610 $aafforestation 610 $ariparian buffer width 610 $alandscape composition 610 $aregression model 610 $ainteraction term 610 $aBrazilian Forest Code 610 $afarmland abandonment 610 $aLULC changes 610 $aclimate change 610 $arunoff/suspended sediment changes 610 $ariver morphology dynamics 610 $aItalian Apennines 610 $awater quality 610 $alandscape metrics 610 $aPLS-SEM 610 $ascale 610 $aseason 610 $adistance from pollution sources 610 $ascript files 610 $amean diurnal profile 610 $awavelet coherence 610 $agroundwater recharge 610 $awater resources management 610 $aConservative Use Potential 610 $ariver basin 610 $awater balance 610 $alakes 610 $areservoirs 610 $aNenjiang watershed 610 $aLandsat 610 $adiurnal thermal profile 610 $aurban tributaries 610 $awavelet 610 $acovariance 610 $aflow 610 $awater discharge ecosystem services 610 $apayments for environmental services 610 $aland use 615 7$aResearch & information: general 700 $aPacheco$b Fernando A.L$4edt$01287826 702 $aSanches Fernandes$b Lui?s Filipe$4edt 702 $aPacheco$b Fernando A.L$4oth 702 $aSanches Fernandes$b Lui?s Filipe$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910557396903321 996 $aImpacts of Anthropogenic Activities on Watersheds in a Changing Climate$93038812 997 $aUNINA
