A number of processes causing soil degradation, specifically erosion, compaction, salinization, pollution, and loss of both organic matter and soil biodiversity, are also strictly connected to agricultural activity and its intensification. The development and adoption of sustainable agronomic practices able to preserve and enhance the physical, chemical, and biological properties of soils and improve agroecosystem functions is a challenge for both scientists and farmers. The Special Issue entitled ?Sustainable Agriculture and Soil Conservation? collects 12 original contributions addressing the state of the art of sustainable agriculture and soil conservation. The papers cover a wide range of topics, including organic agriculture, soil amendment and soil organic carbon (SOC) management, the impact of SOC on soil water repellency, the effects of soil tillage on the quantity of SOC associated with several fractions of soil particles and depth, and SOC prediction, using visible and near-infrared spectra and multivariate modeling. Moreover, the effects of some soil contaminants (e.g., crude oil, tungsten, copper, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) are discussed or reviewed in light of the recent literature. The collection of the manuscripts presented in this Special Issue provides a relevant knowledge contribution for improving our understanding on sustainable agriculture and soil conservation, thus stimulating new views on this main topic. 606 $aResearch & information: general$2bicssc 610 $aTungsten 610 $acorn uptake 610 $asoil characteristics 610 $aFreundlich model 610 $aBiologŪ 610 $acommunity-level physiological profiling (CLPP) 610 $afunctional diversity indices 610 $ametabolic bacterial diversity 610 $aolive 610 $asoil fertility 610 $asoil quality 610 $amaize 610 $astomata 610 $asoil 610 $aphenanthrene 610 $aremediation 610 $aqualitative multi-attribute model 610 $atotal energy output 610 $aagro-ecological service crops 610 $aex-post sustainability 610 $aorganic systems 610 $aamendment 610 $abiochar 610 $abrewers? spent grain 610 $ahop 610 $aimage analysis 610 $aplant growth 610 $aBeerkan method 610 $ainfiltration 610 $aforest restoration 610 $asoil water repellency 610 $atillage 610 $afertilization 610 $asoil depth 610 $aorganic carbon 610 $aclay minerals 610 $adiffuse reflectance 610 $ainfrared Fourier transform spectroscopy 610 $abioremediation 610 $acomposting 610 $aPAHs 610 $aorganic co-substrates 610 $amulching 610 $aflattening 610 $airrigation 610 $aphotosynthesis 610 $atranspiration 610 $awater stress integral 610 $afruit growth 610 $awater use efficiency 610 $aproductivity 610 $asoil organic matter 610 $anear-infrared spectroscopy 610 $aspatial heterogeneity 610 $amultivariate adaptive regression splines 610 $apartial least squares regression 610 $aanaerobic digestion residues 610 $asoil amendment 610 $asoil fertilization 610 $asoil organic C 610 $asoil porosity 610 $asoil microbial community 610 $acopper 610 $arhizosphere 610 $asmart agriculture 610 $amicrobes 610 $avineyard 610 $aorganic agriculture 610 $asoil organic carbon 610 $asoil management 610 $asoil contamination 610 $asoil remediation 610 $asustainable fruit growing 610 $awater conservation practices 610 $amultivariate statistical models for SOC prediction 615 7$aResearch & information: general 700 $aGattullo$b Concetta Eliana$4edt$01326450 702 $aStellacci$b Anna Maria$4edt 702 $aCastellini$b Mirko$4edt 702 $aDiacono$b Mariangela$4edt 702 $aGattullo$b Concetta Eliana$4oth 702 $aStellacci$b Anna Maria$4oth 702 $aCastellini$b Mirko$4oth 702 $aDiacono$b Mariangela$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910557349603321 996 $aSustainable Agriculture and Soil Conservation$93037446 997 $aUNINA
