The book starts with an opinion paper on "Relations between Electronics, Artificial Intelligence and Information Society through Information Society Rules", presenting relations between information society, electronics and artificial intelligence mainly through twenty-four IS laws. After that, the book continues with a series of technical papers that present applications of Artificial Intelligence and Ambient Intelligence in a variety of fields including affective computing, privacy and security in smart environments, and robotics. More specifically, the first part presents usage of Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods in combination with wearable devices (e.g., smartphones and wristbands) for recognizing human psychological states (e.g., emotions and cognitive load). The second part presents usage of AI methods in combination with laser sensors or Wi-Fi signals for improving security in smart buildings by identifying and counting the number of visitors. The last part presents usage of AI methods in robotics for improving robots' ability for object gripping manipulation and perception. The language of the book is rather technical, thus the intended audience are scientists and researchers who have at least some basic knowledge in computer science. 606 $aInformation technology industries$2bicssc 610 $aaffective computing 610 $aagent 610 $aambient intelligence 610 $aartificial intelligence 610 $abiometrics 610 $acognitive load 610 $acontrol 610 $acrowd counting 610 $aCSI 610 $aDoppler spectrum 610 $aeffective computing 610 $aelectronics 610 $aemotion system 610 $aemotional machine 610 $agrasping 610 $ahuman-machine interface 610 $aidentification 610 $ainformation society 610 $amachine learning 610 $amanipulation 610 $amechatronics 610 $amulti-modal fusion 610 $an/a 610 $aone-dimensional depth sensor 610 $aperception 610 $aperception for grasping 610 $apsychophysiology 610 $aPUT-Hand 610 $arobotic hand 610 $arobotics 610 $asupervised learning 610 $atactile sensing 610 $aunderactuated 610 $aWi-Fi 615 7$aInformation technology industries 700 $aGams$b M$g(Matjaz?)$4edt$01878481 702 $aGjoreski$b Martin$4edt 702 $aGams$b M$g(Matjaz?)$4oth 702 $aGjoreski$b Martin$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910557343203321 996 $aArtificial Intelligence and Ambient Intelligence$94491204 997 $aUNINA
