Most ZIKV infections result in a self-limited flu-like febrile disease, however, if contracted during pregnancy, the virus can also infect fetuses and cause a spectrum of birth defects known as congenital Zika syndrome. To date, no vaccines or antiviral drugs are licensed for ZIKV, and the virus has spread and become endemic to many tropical and sub-tropical countries. Included in this book are thirteen reports addressing diverse aspects of ZIKV?host interactions. These studies range from basic science to clinical research. It is expected that findings from these studies will contribute to a better understanding of the host cells interacting with ZIKV, and may serve as the basis for new diagnostics, antiviral therapies, and vaccine design. 606 $aResearch & information: general$2bicssc 606 $aBiology, life sciences$2bicssc 610 $aZika virus 610 $aperoxisomes 610 $ainnate immune response 610 $ainterferon 610 $aastrocytes 610 $afetal brain 610 $azika virus 610 $aflaviviruses 610 $aT cells 610 $ahost-pathogen interactions 610 $aflavivirus 610 $atight junctions 610 $aclaudins 610 $aZO-1 610 $ablood-placental barrier 610 $aplacenta 610 $aapoptosis 610 $aviral replication 610 $aBcl-2 protein family 610 $aZIKV 610 $avirus host interactions 610 $apathogenesis 610 $aMR766 610 $aguinea pig 610 $asubcutaneous 610 $avaginal 610 $asexual transmission 610 $avirus transmission 610 $aenvelope protein 610 $aglycosylation 610 $afusion loop 610 $aviral fusion 610 $acell entry 610 $aNS5 protein 610 $anuclear localization 610 $ainflammation 610 $ainnate immunity 610 $aextracellular vesicles 610 $acellular communication 610 $aC6/36 cells 610 $ahuman monocytes 610 $aendothelial vascular cells 610 $aprotein?protein interaction 610 $anon-structural viral proteins 610 $anetwork 610 $aJAK/STAT 610 $acytokine 610 $aWest Nile virus 610 $aHSP90 610 $aNS5 610 $avirus?host interactions 610 $aanti-viral signaling 610 $aimmune response 610 $ainflammatory mediator 610 $aSertoli cells 610 $aLeydig cells 610 $aZIKA virus 610 $aarboviruses 610 $ainfertility 610 $aIFN 610 $aRIG-I 610 $aMDA5 610 $aIFNAR1 610 $azika 610 $ahost 610 $acell death 610 $aperoxisome 610 $amosquito 610 $atight junction 615 7$aResearch & information: general 615 7$aBiology, life sciences 700 $aHobman$b Tom$4edt$01283267 702 $aKumar$b Anil$4edt 702 $aLimonta$b Daniel$4edt 702 $aHobman$b Tom$4oth 702 $aKumar$b Anil$4oth 702 $aLimonta$b Daniel$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910557297503321 996 $aZika Virus and Host Interactions$93019085 997 $aUNINA
