These metals, due to their ability to activate CO and CH, haev a major economic impact worldwide. Several industrial processes and synthetic routes use these metals: biomass-to-liquids (BTL), coal-to-liquids (CTL), natural gas-to-liquids (GTL), water-gas-shift, alcohol synthesis, alcohol steam reforming, polymerization processes, cross-coupling reactions, and photocatalyst activated reactions. A vast number of materials are produced from these processes, including oil, lubricants, waxes, diesel and jet fuels, hydrogen (e.g., fuel cell applications), gasoline, rubbers, plastics, alcohols, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, feed-stock chemicals, and other alternative materials. However, given the true complexities of the variables involved in these processes, many key mechanistic issues are still not fully defined or understood. This Special Issue of Catalysis will be a collaborative effort to combine current catalysis research on these metals from experimental and theoretical perspectives on both heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysts. We welcome contributions from the catalysis community on catalyst characterization, kinetics, reaction mechanism, reactor development, theoretical modeling, and surface science. 606 $aTechnology: general issues$2bicssc 610 $apolynuclear cobalt complexes 610 $awater oxidation 610 $aartificial photosynthesis 610 $aFe/Cu catalytic-ceramic-filler 610 $anitrobenzene compounds wastewater 610 $apilot-scale test 610 $abiodegradability-improvement 610 $aFischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) 610 $aoxygenates 610 $airon 610 $acobalt 610 $aruthenium 610 $aAnderson-Schulz-Flory (ASF) distribution 610 $aFischer-Tropsch 610 $acatalyst deactivation 610 $apotassium 610 $aliquid-phase catalytic oxidation 610 $alimonene 610 $acarvone 610 $azeolitic imidazolate frameworks 610 $aFischer-Tropsch synthesis 610 $achain growth 610 $aCO insertion 610 $akinetic isotope effect 610 $aDFT 610 $ahydrogenation of CO 610 $airon catalysts 610 $asyngas 610 $amonometallic iron catalysts 610 $aFischer-Tropsch product distribution 610 $areaction mechanism 610 $acatalysis 610 $aprocess synthesis and design 610 $aenergy conversion 610 $airon-cobalt bimetal catalysts 610 $aelectrochemical application 610 $ahydrogen evolution 610 $aoxygen evolution 610 $aoxygen reduction 610 $aRWGS 610 $airon oxides 610 $aCO2 conversion 610 $agas-switching 610 $aSynthetic natural gas (SNG) 610 $aCobalt 610 $aIron 610 $aC2-C4 hydrocarbons 610 $aparaffin ratio 610 $aasymmetric hydrogenation 610 $ahomogeneous catalysis 610 $astructural design 610 $aconformational analysis 610 $aNMR spectroscopy 610 $aalumina 610 $astrong metal support interactions 610 $aCO2 hydrogenation 610 $apressure 610 $atemperature 610 $acobalt carboxylate 610 $acoating 610 $aautoxidation 610 $aalkyd 610 $asiccative 610 $apolymerization 610 $amanganese 610 $aFischer-Tropsch synthesis 610 $amodeling 610 $akinetics 610 $aCo 610 $aAl2O3 610 $aPt 610 $aCd 610 $aIn 610 $aSn 610 $ahydrocarbon selectivity 610 $asynergic effect 610 $aGTL 610 $aadditives 610 $areducibility 610 $aXANES 610 $amesoporous silica based catalysts 610 $akinetic studies 610 $a3-D printed microchannel microreactor 610 $acobalt-nickel nanoparticles 610 $acobalt-nickel alloys 610 $anickel 610 $aHAADF-STEM 610 $aTPR-EXAFS/XANES 610 $aCO hydrogenation 610 $aCSTR 615 7$aTechnology: general issues 700 $aShafer$b Wilson D$4edt$01326438 702 $aJacobs$b Gary$4edt 702 $aShafer$b Wilson D$4oth 702 $aJacobs$b Gary$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910557147203321 996 $aIron and Cobalt Catalysts$93037432 997 $aUNINA
