Over the past few years, the use of passive cooling and heating technologies has become more common for reducing the energy consumption of buildings. However, for some building systems, these technologies are not used very often. Buildings intended for children or the elderly are often climatized to improve indoor thermal conditions. In this Special Issue, a cost reduction in climatization based on passive systems is expected to be conducted. Building site optimization is expected to be performed, to improve thermal behavior. To achieve this, computational fluid dynamics tools are expected to be used. These reductions are expected to be studied for conventional and renewable energy systems, showing that passive systems provide better thermal comfort and reduce the initial investment and energy consumption, making low-cost buildings feasible. 606 $aResearch & information: general$2bicssc 610 $arenewables 610 $aenergy saving and generation 610 $abuilt environments 610 $atransparent concentrators 610 $aluminescent concentrators 610 $asolar windows 610 $aadvanced glazings 610 $aphotovoltaics 610 $aPV 610 $aBIPV 610 $aLVDC 610 $aDC/DC module-level converters 610 $awind energy 610 $aphotovoltaic 610 $acomplementarity 610 $agrid integration 610 $abuilding integrated wind turbine 610 $asavonius 610 $aERA5 610 $aanemometer 610 $acalibration 610 $aair conditioning 610 $aborehole heat exchanger 610 $adesiccant dehumidification 610 $aenthalpy recovery 610 $aheat pump 610 $asystem evaluation 610 $aexperimental 615 7$aResearch & information: general 700 $aColmenar Santos$b Antonio$4edt$0866278 702 $aBorge Diez$b David$4edt 702 $aRosales Asensio$b Enrique$4edt 702 $aColmenar Santos$b Antonio$4oth 702 $aBorge Diez$b David$4oth 702 $aRosales Asensio$b Enrique$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910557134203321 996 $aAlternative Energy Systems in Buildings$93030708 997 $aUNINA
