Taking advantage of the authors? large experience and of the most up-to-date  information and technology, this book treats the main soil types of Italy, their diffusion, their functions, ecological use, and the threats to which they are subjected during centuries of intensive management. It also deals with future scenarios of the relationships between soil science and other disciplines, such as urban development, medicine, economics, sociology, and archaeology. The description of the soils is accompanied by a complete set of data, pictures and maps, including benchmark profiles. Factors of soil formation are also treated, making use of new, unpublished data and elaborations. The book also includes a history of pedological research in Italy, spanning over a century. . 410 0$aWorld Soils Book Series,$x2211-1255 606 $aEnvironmental sciences 606 $aSoils$zItaly 615 0$aEnvironmental sciences. 615 0$aSoils 676 $a577.570945 701 $aCostantini$b Edoardo A. It is a summary of the research presented at the 6th International Conference on Renewable Energy Sources (ICORES19), which took place in Krynica, Poland, in June 2019. This event is the most recognizable scientific meeting connected to RES in Poland. From the very beginning, this conference has been a unique occasion for gathering Polish and international researchers' perspectives on renewable energy sources and balancing them against governmental policy considerations. Accordingly, the conference has also offered panels to discuss best practices and solutions with local entrepreneurs and federal government bodies. The meeting attracts not only scientists but also industry representatives, as well as local and federal government personnel. We are open to new and fresh ideas concerning renewable energy, which is why so many scientists from Central and Eastern Europe visit Krynica to discuss the "Green Future" of this region. In 2019, the conference was organized by the University of Agriculture in Krakow, in cooperation with the AGH University of Science and Technology (Krakow), the State Agrarian and Engineering University in Podilya, the University of Z?ilina, the International Commission of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (CIGR) and the Polish Society of Agricultural Engineering. Honorary auspices were made by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland, the rector of the University of Agriculture in Krakow, the rector of the AGH University of Science and Technology and the rector of the State Agrarian and Engineering University in Podilya. 517 $aSelected paper from 6th International Conference on Renewable Energy Sources 606 $aResearch and information: general$2bicssc 610 $aagriculture 610 $aalgae 610 $aanti-gravity 610 $aartificial neural network 610 $aBiochemical Methane Potential Correction Coefficient 610 $abiogas 610 $abiomass 610 $abiomass conversion 610 $aBorehole Heat Exchanger (BHE) 610 $abriquettes production 610 $abubble pump 610 $acalorific value 610 $acarbon dioxide 610 $aCFD 610 $aChinese cabbage 610 $acombustion 610 $acombustion simulation 610 $acompaction 610 $acorn 610 $aCup plant 610 $acylindrical LED light coat 610 $adecision support system 610 $adensity 610 $adesign 610 $adie 610 $adisc-mill 610 $adrying 610 $adurability 610 $aefficiency 610 $aexploitation of energy sources 610 $aFEFLOW 610 $afinite element modeling 610 $aGiant miscanthus 610 $agreenhouse gases 610 $agrinding 610 $aground source heat pump 610 $aheating and ventilation systems 610 $aindustrial-scale efficiency 610 $alaboratory-scale efficiency 610 $aloss prevention 610 $amanagement 610 $amechanical durability 610 $aMiscanthus 610 $amoisture content 610 $amultilayer perceptron 610 $apassive heat transport 610 $apellets 610 $aperennial biomass 610 $aphotobioreactor 610 $aphotosynthetic microorganisms 610 $apollutant emissions 610 $apoultry slaughterhouse waste 610 $apressure compaction 610 $areduction of pollutant emissions 610 $arefuse-derived fuel 610 $arefuse-derived fuel (RDF) 610 $arenewable energy 610 $arice 610 $asawdust 610 $aScots pine 610 $asingle-family houses 610 $aslow release fertilizers 610 $asmall-scale thermal energy storage 610 $asolar collector 610 $asolid density 610 $aspecific density 610 $aspent coffee grounds 610 $astove 610 $athermal imbalance of the ground source 610 $athermal measurements 610 $athermosiphon 610 $atracking lighting 610 $aVirginia mallow 610 $awillow 615 7$aResearch and information: general 700 $aJewiarz$b Marcin$4edt$01327824 702 $aJewiarz$b Marcin$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910557112203321 996 $aSelected paper from 6th International Conference on Renewable Energy Sources (ICoRES 2019)$93038142 997 $aUNINA
