Devant ce paradoxe, les auteurs réunis ici prennent au sérieux l?hypothèse d?un coup d?arrêt majeur de nos dynamiques socio-économiques et politiques, tout en montrant que le rythme des effondrements se révèle variable selon les territoires. À partir d?enquêtes de terrain plurielles, ils examinent également la façon dont se mobilisent des acteurs, au Nord et au Sud, militants engagés ou citoyens discrets, pour tenter d?y faire face. L?ouvrage souligne l?impérieuse nécessité pour les sciences sociales de renouveler leurs approches des questions écologiques et esquisse les premiers jalons d?un paradigme de l?effondrement. The idea of collapse, mediated as the probable fate of our societies dealing with ecological crises, has been facing much criticism, even though recent illustrations of ongoing collapses, from Covid-19 to mega-fires, continue to multiply. Faced with this paradox, the authors adress the hypothesis of a major halt in our socio-economic and political dynamics, and show that the pace of collapse varies according to the territory. Based on multiple field surveys, they also examine the way in which actors, in the North and in the South, committed activists or discreet citizens, are mobilizing to try to deal with it. The book underlines the urgent need for the social sciences to renew their approaches to ecological questions and outlines the first milestones of a paradigm of collapse. 606 $aEnvironmental Studies 606 $aSociology 606 $aécologie 606 $acatastrophe 606 $amobilisation 606 $asociologie de l?environnement 606 $adéni 606 $aépistémologie 606 $arisque 606 $aécoféminisme 606 $acollapsologie 615 4$aEnvironmental Studies 615 4$aSociology 615 4$aécologie 615 4$acatastrophe 615 4$amobilisation 615 4$asociologie de l?environnement 615 4$adéni 615 4$aépistémologie 615 4$arisque 615 4$aécoféminisme 615 4$acollapsologie 700 $aBerthelot$b Karl$01456037 701 $aBidet$b Alexandra$01275561 701 $aCary$b Paul$01453848 701 $aChamel$b Jean$01276937 701 $aCritique$b Collectif Quantité$01456038 701 $aEtienne-Greenwood$b Tobias$01456039 701 $aGarnoussi$b Nadia$01455771 701 $aLann$b Yann Le$01456040 701 $aMarchand$b Arnaud Le$01455534 701 $aMelin$b Hélène$01364654 701 $aMichot$b Dylan$01456041 701 $aPlet$b Laurent$01456042 701 $aRodriguez$b Jacques$01235964 701 $aSarnowski$b Solène$01456043 701 $aSteffan$b Loïc$01456044 701 $aSudda$b Magali Della$01286638 701 $aSutter$b Pierre-Éric$01456045 701 $aTasset$b Cyprien$01456046 701 $aLe Lann$b Yann$01456047 801 0$bFR-FrMaCLE 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910552897403321 996 $aQuestionner l?effondrement$93657518 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02957nam 2200601 a 450 001 9910778458103321 005 20231212221541.0 010 $a1-78371-589-8 010 $a1-84964-326-1 035 $a(CKB)1000000000802686 035 $a(StDuBDS)AH22933614 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000412985 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11270695 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000412985 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10369630 035 $a(PQKB)11687623 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC3386249 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL3386249 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10479751 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL987760 035 $a(OCoLC)654104856 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000802686 100 $a20061006d2006 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur||||||||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aBlood and religion$b[electronic resource] $ethe unmasking of the Jewish and democratic state /$fJonathan Cook 210 $aLondon ;$aAnn Arbor, Mich. $cPluto Press$d2006 215 $a1 online resource (248 p.) 300 $aBibliographic Level Mode of Issuance: Monograph 311 $a0-7453-2555-6 311 $a0-7453-2556-4 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 330 $bWhat does Israel hope to achieve with its recent withdrawal from Gaza and the building of a 700km wall around the West Bank? Jonathan Cook, who has reported on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict during the Second Intifada, presents a lucid account of the Jewish state's motives. The heart of the issue, he argues, is demography. Israel fears the moment when the region's Palestinians - Israel's own Palestinian citizens and those in the Occupied Territories - become a majority. Inevitable comparisons with apartheid in South Africa will be drawn.The book charts Israel's increasingly desperate responses to its predicament including military repression of Palestinian dissent on both sides of the Green Line; accusations that Israel's Palestinian citizens and the Palestinian Authority are secretly conspiring to subvert the Jewish state from within; a ban on marriages between Israel's Palestinian population and Palestinians living under occupation to prevent a right of return 'through the back door'; the redrawing of the Green Line to create an expanded, fortress state where only Jewish blood and Jewish religion count. 606 $aArab-Israeli conflict$y1993- 606 $aPalestinian Arabs$zIsrael 606 $aAl-Aqsa Intifada, 2000-2005 607 $aIsrael$xPolitics and government$y1993- 607 $aIsrael$xEthnic relations 615 0$aArab-Israeli conflict 615 0$aPalestinian Arabs 615 0$aAl-Aqsa Intifada, 2000-2005. 676 $a956.05/3 700 $aCook$b Jonathan$f1965-$01512561 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910778458103321 996 $aBlood and religion$93746527 997 $aUNINA
