These Sandwich Generation (SG) women constitute an expanding vulnerable group on the labour market at higher risk of discrimination, work-family conflict, burnout, and withdrawal from the labour market and unemployment. Working Women in the Sandwich Generation helps present a clearer view of how to support this group both now and in the future. Beginning with a presentation of quantitative and qualitative research that sheds light on the SG situation in Poland, Finland and Flanders, this volume provides insights into various components from the SG life domains such as personal development and learning, connection to the labour market, coping strategies, resources, and energy drainers. In the second part the book provides tools for SG women, their supervisors, educators, and coaches to help manage challenging situations and improving wellbeing at work. Working Women in the Sandwich Generation then introduces the results of international comparative research the purpose of which was to identify and characterise the SG in five European countries before concluding with recommendations for supervisors and policy makers in supporting SG women. 410 0$aEmerald Points Series 606 $aGender studies: women$2bicssc 606 $aManagement: leadership & motivation$2bicssc 606 $aSociology: work & labour$2bicssc 610 $aLabour market 610 $aLifelong learning 610 $aMature women 610 $aResearch and methodology 610 $aTime4Help Project 610 $aWork-family interference 615 7$aGender studies: women 615 7$aManagement: leadership & motivation 615 7$aSociology: work & labour 676 $a331.44094 700 $aRajahonka$b Mervi$01312113 701 $aKwiatkowska-Ciotucha$b Dorota$01744616 701 $aTimmers$b Miet$01744617 701 $aZa?uska$b Urszula$01859196 701 $aVillman$b Kaija$01744619 701 $aLengeler$b Veerle$01744620 701 $aGielens$b Tim$01744621 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910547689103321 996 $aWorking Women in the Sandwich Generation$94462742 997 $aUNINA
