First, it lets users capture all the knowledge that goes into a workflow in any kind of organization, including the most difficult kind of all, the tacit knowledge people bring to the job and carry in their heads. Second, it is simple, powerful, flexible, and easy to learn. Third, it does not require installing, learning, and applying a complicated program (sometimes requiring reorganization to support the software rather than the software supporting the organization). It was developed by the author in a fifteen-year long program of studying, analyzing, and improving avionics maintenance processes for the U.S. Navy and the Royal Canadian Air Force, and then applied to organizations of all kinds ever since, for more than two decades. It has been taught and applied by the author and others in many short courses. It works. 410 0$a2012 digital library. 410 0$aOperations and supply chain management collection.$x2156-8200 606 $aWorkflow 606 $aReengineering (Management) 606 $aKnowledge management 608 $aElectronic books. 610 $aBusiness process 610 $abusiness process mapping 610 $aworkflow mapping 610 $aknowledge management 610 $atacit knowledge 615 0$aWorkflow. 615 0$aReengineering (Management) 615 0$aKnowledge management. 676 $a658.51 700 $aKmetz$b John L$01134983 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910530634503321 996 $aMapping workflows and managing knowledge$92670064 997 $aUNINA
