This reference is not only a must-have product for residents in training, but it offers information for the practicing physician. The book covers the entire spectrum of women's healthcare by offering guidance for the management of specific gynecologic conditions in eight sections. The first two sections cover principles of practice and initial assessment and the relevant basic science. The third section is on preventive and primary care for women, and the remaining five sections are directed at methods of diagnosis and management in general gynecology, operative general gynecology, urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery, reproductive endocrinology, and gynecologic oncology"--Provided by publisher. 517 3 $aBerek and Novak's gynecology 517 3 $aGynecology 606 $aGenital Diseases, Female 606 $aGynecology$xmethods 606 $aPregnancy Complications 606 $aGynecology 615 12$aGenital Diseases, Female 615 22$aGynecology$xmethods 615 22$aPregnancy Complications 615 0$aGynecology. 676 $a618.1 701 $aBerek$b Jonathan S$0850245 701 $aNovak$b Emil$f1883-1957.$01540677 801 0$bDNLM/DLC 801 1$bDLC 801 2$bUtOrBLW 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910788452203321 996 $aBerek & Novak's gynecology$93792465 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03835nam 2200421 n 450 001 9910520103803321 005 20240912143217.0 035 $a(CKB)5670000000197646 035 $a(NjHacI)995670000000197646 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC31594244 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL31594244 035 $a(OCoLC)1285289772 035 $a(EXLCZ)995670000000197646 100 $a20230430d2022 uu 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur||||||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 00$aHydrohumanities /$fedited by Kim De Wolff, Rina C. Discourse about water and power in the modern era have largely focused on human power over water: who gets to own and control a limited resource that has incredible economic potential. As a result, discussion of water, even in the humanities, has traditionally focused on fresh water for human use. Today, climate extremes from drought to flooding are forcing humanities scholars to reimagine water discourse. This volume exemplifies how interdisciplinary cultural approaches can transform water conversations. The manuscript is organized into three emergent themes in water studies: agency of water, fluid identities, and cultural currencies. The first section deals with the properties of water and the ways in which water challenges human plans for control. The second section explores how water (or lack of it) shapes human collective and individual identities. The third engages notions of value and circulation to think about how water has been managed and employed for local, national, and international gains. Contributions come from preeminent as well as emerging voices across humanities fields including history, art history, philosophy, and science and technology studies. Part of a bigger goal for shaping the environmental humanities, the book broadens the concept of water to include not just water in oceans and rivers but also in pipes, ice floes, marshes, bottles, dams, and more. Each piece shows how humanities scholarship has world-changing potential to achieve more just water futures"-- Provided by publisher. 517 $aHydrohumanities 606 $aWater-supply$xManagement 615 0$aWater-supply$xManagement. 676 $a333.91 702 $aFaletti$b Rina C. 702 $aWolff$b Kim De 801 0$bNjHacI 801 1$bNjHacl 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910520103803321 996 $aHydrohumanities$92843163 997 $aUNINA
