This book focuses on psychological issues related to technology and work. Topics are set within areas of occupational psychology that include job and task design, training, selection, assessment and motivation, workload analysis, environmental and personal influences on mental processing, safety at work, and working in teams.

Nik Chmiel introduces important topics to those without previous knowledge of them, and illustrates the relevance of psychological knowledge to the analysis of jobs and use of technology. It will be useful to students of psychology, business studies and organizat 410 0$aPsychology Focus 606 $aEmployees$xEffect of technological innovations on 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aEmployees$xEffect of technological innovations on. 676 $a658.5/14 700 $aChmiel$b Nik.$0495484 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910450612603321 996 $aJobs, technology and people$92257253 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04560nam 22006375 450 001 9910495252203321 005 20251113175147.0 010 $a3-030-74486-8 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-030-74486-1 035 $a(CKB)4100000011982428 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC6679307 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL6679307 035 $a(PPN)258305231 035 $a(OCoLC)1261306277 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-030-74486-1 035 $a(EXLCZ)994100000011982428 100 $a20210716d2021 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aSystems, Patterns and Data Engineering with Geometric Calculi /$fedited by Sebastià Xambó-Descamps 205 $a1st ed. 2021. 210 1$aCham :$cSpringer International Publishing :$cImprint: Springer,$d2021. 215 $a1 online resource (186 pages) 225 1 $aICIAM 2019 SEMA SIMAI Springer Series,$x2662-7191 ;$v13 311 08$a3-030-74485-X 327 $a1 I. The first three contributions, which correspond to lectures at the MS, offer perspectives on recent advances in the application GC in the areas of robotics, molecular geometry, and medical imaging. The next three, especially invited, hone the expressiveness of GC in orientation measurements under different metrics, the treatment of contact elements, and the investigation of efficient computational methodologies. The last two, which also correspond to lectures at the MS, deal with two aspects of deep learning: a presentation of a concrete quaternionic convolutional neural network layer for image classification that features contrast invariance and a general overview of automatic learning aimed at steering the development of neural networks whose units process elements of a suitable algebra, such as a geometric algebra. The book fits, broadly speaking, within the realm of mathematical engineering, and consequently, it is intended for a wide spectrum of research profiles. In particular, it should bring inspiration and guidance to those looking for materials and problems that bridge GC with applications of great current interest, including the auspicious field of GC-based deep neural networks. 410 0$aICIAM 2019 SEMA SIMAI Springer Series,$x2662-7191 ;$v13 606 $aMathematics 606 $aComputer science$xMathematics 606 $aStatistics 606 $aChemometrics 606 $aApplications of Mathematics 606 $aMathematical Applications in Computer Science 606 $aStatistics in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry and Earth Sciences 606 $aMathematical Applications in Chemistry 615 0$aMathematics. 615 0$aComputer science$xMathematics. 615 0$aStatistics. 615 0$aChemometrics. 615 14$aApplications of Mathematics. 615 24$aMathematical Applications in Computer Science. 615 24$aStatistics in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry and Earth Sciences. 615 24$aMathematical Applications in Chemistry. 676 $a620.00151 702 $aXambo?-Descamps$b S$g(Sebastia?n),$f1945- 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910495252203321 996 $aSystems, patterns and data engineering with geometric calculi$92820456 997 $aUNINA
