Such comparative methodology provides a particularly clear view of the nature of dependent labour in both regions. Using legislation as well as charter evidence, Sutt establishes that lay landlords of Árpádian Hungary frequently relied upon slaves to work their land, but the situation in Carolingian areas was much more complex. The use of slave labour in Hungary continued until the end of the thirteenth century when a combination of economic and political factors brought it to an end. 410 0$aEast Central and Eastern Europe in the Middle Ages, 450-1450 ;$vVolume 31. 606 $aSlavery$zHungary$xHistory$yTo 1500 606 $aLandlords$zHungary$xHistory$yTo 1500 606 $aA?rpa?d, House of 607 $aHungary$xHistory$y896-1301 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aSlavery$xHistory 615 0$aLandlords$xHistory 615 0$aA?rpa?d, House of. 676 $a306.362 700 $aSutt$b Cameron M$g(Cameron Mitchell),$f1969-$01054977 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910494602603321 996 $aSlavery in A?rpa?d-era Hungary in a comparative context$92488014 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02141oam 22005174a 450 001 9910427556303321 005 20230621141402.0 010 $a9781606066720 035 $a(CKB)5590000000002675 035 $a(OCoLC)1202518341 035 $a(MdBmJHUP)muse92481 035 $a(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/44353 035 $a(oapen)doab44353 035 $a(EXLCZ)995590000000002675 100 $a20201029e20202018 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|||||||nn|n 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aCultural Cleansing and Mass Atrocities$eProtecting Cultural Heritage in Armed Conflict Zones /$fThomas G.
