At the beginning of the nineteenth century a trend towards historical revisionism, backed by Liberals, whose influence was pivotal at the Cortes de Cádiz (the national assembly convened to assert Spanish sovereignty, introduce reform, and establish a modern Spanish nation), combined with economic factors, culminated in the abolition of the Inquisition in 1834. This paved the way, ideologically, for the freedom of worship to be proclaimed in Spain on the heels of La Septembrina, or La Gloriosa, the September Revolution of 1868 in which Queen Isabel II was deposed. European Sephardic Jews, galvanized by their perception of a tolerant Spain, decided to undertake a major project to initiate negotiations with the Spanish state. 606 $aSynagogues$xLaw and legislation$zSpain$xHistory$y19th century 606 $aSephardim$zSpain$xHistory$y19th century 606 $aJews$xLegal status, laws, etc$zSpain$xHistory$y19th century 607 $aSpain$xEmigration and immigration$xHistory$y19th century 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aSynagogues$xLaw and legislation$xHistory 615 0$aSephardim$xHistory 615 0$aJews$xLegal status, laws, etc.$xHistory 676 $a305.892404609034 700 $aManrique Escudero$b Mo?nica$01029460 701 $aPeterson$b Justin$01029461 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910493704803321 996 $aThe project of return to Sepharad in the nineteenth century$92445901 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03470oam 2200781I 450 001 9910451013903321 005 20200520144314.0 010 $a1-134-27297-9 010 $a1-280-05503-0 010 $a0-203-33503-1 024 7 $a10.4324/9780203335031 035 $a(CKB)1000000000252684 035 $a(EBL)199564 035 $a(OCoLC)252896676 035 $a(SSID)ssj0001148159 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)12528326 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001148159 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)11142589 035 $a(PQKB)10309580 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000306308 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11240325 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000306308 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10305970 035 $a(PQKB)11357093 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC199564 035 $a(PPN)198452780 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL199564 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10094203 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL5503 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000252684 100 $a20180331d2004 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aPolitical campaigning in referendums $eframing the referendum issue /$flaes H. de Vreese and Holli A. The authors argue that the media coverage not only influences public perceptions of the campaign, the referendum issue and the party leaders, but that, in a close race, it also shapes the voting and the political future of the incumbent party.The first study to investigate the dynamics and effects of a referendum campaign on politicians, media and citiz 410 0$aRoutledge research in political communication. 606 $aAdvertising, Political 606 $aPolitical campaigns 606 $aReferendum 606 $aElections 606 $aVoting 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aAdvertising, Political. 615 0$aPolitical campaigns. 615 0$aReferendum. 615 0$aElections. 615 0$aVoting. 676 $a328.2/3 700 $aVreese$b C.
