This volume grapples with the potentials and limitations of such narratives as diverse cultural perceptions and realities are granted the voice to probe into those stories from literary and textual material, as well as empirical, ethnographic, historical, and personal bases. Some of the chapters draw upon the capacity of storytelling to heal bodies and souls, whereas others provide an important corrective to this overwhelmingly optimistic portrayal by focusing on the limits of storytelling and narrative to address physical and psychic trauma. Despite the different approaches, what ties these chapters together is a more focused textual and contextual analysis of the intersection between forms of storytelling and sharing the experience of illness as studied and witnessed and sometimes even lived by the authors of the volume. 606 $aStorytelling$xPsychological aspects 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aStorytelling$xPsychological aspects. 676 $a153.35 702 $aDavidson$b Joanna$f1969- 702 $aSaber$b Yoma 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bUtOrBLW 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910493669503321 996 $aNarrating illness$92451415 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01093nam a2200277 i 4500 001 991003324269707536 005 20020509120149.0 008 001113s1979 it ||| | ita 035 $ab11144117-39ule_inst 035 $aPARLA179673$9ExL 040 $aDip.to Scienze Storiche Fil. e Geogr.$bita 082 0 $a301.44 100 1 $aCanfora, Luciano$038986 245 10$aIntellettuali in Germania :$btra reazione e rivoluzione /$cLuciano Canfora 260 $aBari :$bDe Donato,$c1979 300 $a171 p. ;$c18 cm. 490 0 $aMediazioni ;$v18 650 4$aGermania$xPolitica$y1914-1920 651 4$aIntellettuali$zGermania$y1914-1920 907 $a.b11144117$b23-02-17$c28-06-02 912 $a991003324269707536 945 $aLE009 STOR.72-61$g1$i2009000044494$lle009$o-$pE0.00$q-$rl$s- $t0$u2$v0$w2$x0$y.i11284535$z28-06-02 945 $aLE005 Fondo Montinari 0045$g1$i2005000352270$lle005$og$pE10.00$q-$rn$s- $t0$u0$v0$w0$x0$y.i15503264$z23-04-13 996 $aIntellettuali in Germania$992733 997 $aUNISALENTO 998 $ale009$ale005$b01-01-00$cm$da $e-$fita$git $h0$i1
