However, water availability varies enormously in space, as less than 1,000 m3/person are available for more than 50% of the population. The temporal and spatial distribution of water resources is driven by processes highly variables across a country with different climates explained not only by a large range of latitudes (from 17 to 56 south), but also the presence of the Pacific Ocean and the Andes with peaks up to 7000 m. This geography makes of Chile a true natural laboratory in which water is essential for the society and the economy of the country. The relevance of water resources for the country has become even more significant in the context of a mega-drought that has affected practically the entire territory in recent years, although large floods such as those in Atacama 2015 and 2017 also take place periodically. This unique book brings together the state-of-art knowledge about the hydrology of Chile and its water resources, with a particular focus on quantitative aspects. The chapters are prepared by many of the most relevant researchers and practitioners working in water resources in the country. High-quality research contributions on climate and meteorology, surface and subsurface hydrology, water quality, water monitoring, water resource and global change, among other issues, are presented in this unique book, which offers a useful guide for academicians, researchers, practitioners and managers dealing with diverse water-related issues in Chile and other regions with similar characteristics. 410 0$aWorld Water Resources,$x2509-7385 ;$v8 606 $aWater resources development$zChile 606 $aWater resources development 607 $aChile 615 0$aWater resources development 615 0$aWater resources development. 676 $a333.9100983 702 $aFernández García$b Bonifacio 702 $aGironás$b Jorge 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bUtOrBLW 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910484902303321 996 $aWater Resources of Chile$92595520 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03181oas 2200925 a 450 001 9910340057003321 005 20251106213014.0 011 $a1558-7959 035 $a(OCoLC)43311558 035 $a(CONSER) 2005212510 035 $a(CKB)958480169461 035 $a(EXLCZ)99958480169461 100 $a20000119a19869999 sy a 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 14$aThe journal of information systems 210 $aSarasota, Fla. $cInformation Systems/Management Advisory Services Section, American Accounting Association 215 $a1 online resource 300 $aRefereed/Peer-reviewed 300 $aIssues also have specific subject themes. 311 08$a0888-7985 531 0 $aJ. inf. syst 606 $aAccounting$xData processing$vPeriodicals 606 $aInformation storage and retrieval systems$xAccounting$vPeriodicals 606 $aManagement information systems$vPeriodicals 606 $aManagement$xData processing$vPeriodicals 606 $aComptabilite?$xInformatique$vPe?riodiques 606 $aSyste?mes d'information$xComptabilite?$vPe?riodiques 606 $aSyste?mes d'information de gestion$vPe?riodiques 606 $aGestion$xInformatique$vPe?riodiques 606 $aAccounting$xData processing$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst00795400 606 $aInformation storage and retrieval systems$xAccounting$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst00972782 606 $aManagement$xData processing$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst01007162 606 $aManagement information systems$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst01007271 606 $aInformatiesystemen$2gtt 606 $aDecision support systems$2gtt 606 $aManagement informatiesystemen$2gtt 608 $aPeriodicals.$2fast 608 $aPeriodicals.$2lcgft 615 0$aAccounting$xData processing 615 0$aInformation storage and retrieval systems$xAccounting 615 0$aManagement information systems 615 0$aManagement$xData processing 615 6$aComptabilite?$xInformatique 615 6$aSyste?mes d'information$xComptabilite? 615 6$aSyste?mes d'information de gestion 615 6$aGestion$xInformatique 615 7$aAccounting$xData processing. 615 7$aInformation storage and retrieval systems$xAccounting. 615 7$aManagement$xData processing. 615 7$aManagement information systems. 615 17$aInformatiesystemen. 615 17$aDecision support systems. 615 17$aManagement informatiesystemen. 676 $a025 712 02$aAmerican Accounting Association.$bInformation Systems/Management Advisory Services Section, 801 0$bAAA 801 1$bAAA 801 2$bOCL 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bNSD 801 2$bCFI 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bOCLCF 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bVT2 801 2$bBWN 801 2$bIOY 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bUBY 801 2$bOCLCL 801 2$bOCLCQ 906 $aJOURNAL 912 $a9910340057003321 996 $aThe journal of information systems$92407487 997 $aUNINA
