A life system is a broad concept, covering both micro and macro components ra- ing from cells, tissues and organs across to organisms and ecological niches. To c- prehend and predict the complex behavior of even a simple life system can be - tremely difficult using conventional approaches. To meet this challenge, a variety of new theories and methodologies have emerged in recent years on life system modeling and simulation. Along with improved understanding of the behavior of biological systems, novel intelligent computing paradigms and techniques have emerged to h- dle complicated real-world problems and applications. In particular, intelligent c- puting approaches have been valuable in the design and development of systems and facilities for achieving sustainable energy and a sustainable environment, the two most challenging issues currently facing humanity. The two LSMS 2010 and ICSEE 2010 conferences served as an important platform for synergizing these two research streams. 410 0$aLecture Notes in Bioinformatics ;$v6330 606 $aBioinformatics 606 $aLife sciences 606 $aComputers 606 $aAlgorithms 606 $aPattern recognition 606 $aComputational Biology/Bioinformatics$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I23050 606 $aLife Sciences, general$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/L00004 606 $aTheory of Computation$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I16005 606 $aComputation by Abstract Devices$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I16013 606 $aAlgorithm Analysis and Problem Complexity$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I16021 606 $aPattern Recognition$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I2203X 615 0$aBioinformatics. 615 0$aLife sciences. 615 0$aComputers. 615 0$aAlgorithms. 615 0$aPattern recognition. 615 14$aComputational Biology/Bioinformatics. 615 24$aLife Sciences, general. 615 24$aTheory of Computation. 615 24$aComputation by Abstract Devices. 615 24$aAlgorithm Analysis and Problem Complexity. 615 24$aPattern Recognition. 676 $a570.285 702 $aLi$b Kang$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aJia$b Li$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aSun$b Xin$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aFei$b Minrui$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aIrwin$b George W$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 712 12$aInternational Conference on Intelligent Computing for Sustainable Energy and Environment$f(2010 :$eHefei, China) 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910484787103321 996 $aLife System Modeling and Intelligent Computing$92597471 997 $aUNINA
