The IMO, a United Nations specialized agency, has been entrusted with the duty to provide machinery for cooperation among governments for the prevention and control of pollution of the marine environment from vessels. The organization is responsible for drafting legal instruments as well as for facilitating technical cooperation for the protection of the marine environment. Although IMO legal instruments are mainly targeted at the prevention of pollution of the marine environment from vessels, there is a trend towards a liberal interpretation of this, and the organization has expanded its work to areas like shipbreaking, which is essentially a land-based industry. 606 $aEnvironmental law, International 606 $aWater$xPollution 606 $aEnvironmental economics 606 $aInternational law 606 $aTrade 606 $aInternational relations 606 $aEnvironmental law 606 $aEnvironmental policy 606 $aInternational Environmental Law$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/R19070 606 $aWaste Water Technology / Water Pollution Control / Water Management / Aquatic Pollution$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/U35040 606 $aEnvironmental Economics$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/W48000 606 $aInternational Economic Law, Trade Law$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/R19050 606 $aInternational Relations$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/912000 606 $aEnvironmental Law/Policy/Ecojustice$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/U16002 615 0$aEnvironmental law, International. 615 0$aWater$xPollution. 615 0$aEnvironmental economics. 615 0$aInternational law. 615 0$aTrade. 615 0$aInternational relations. 615 0$aEnvironmental law. 615 0$aEnvironmental policy. 615 14$aInternational Environmental Law. 615 24$aWaste Water Technology / Water Pollution Control / Water Management / Aquatic Pollution. 615 24$aEnvironmental Economics. 615 24$aInternational Economic Law, Trade Law. 615 24$aInternational Relations. 615 24$aEnvironmental Law/Policy/Ecojustice. 676 $a327 676 $a333.7 676 $a340 676 $a343.07 676 $a344.046 676 $a344046 676 $a363.7394 676 $a363.73946 676 $a36370561 700 $aKarim$b Md Saiful$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$01227234 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910484523403321 996 $aPrevention of Pollution of the Marine Environment from Vessels$92849612 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02807nam 2200409z- 450 001 9910346756003321 005 20210211 035 $a(CKB)4920000000094154 035 $a(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/54518 035 $a(oapen)doab54518 035 $a(EXLCZ)994920000000094154 100 $a20202102d2018 |y 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurmn|---annan 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 00$aNeuronal Polarity: Establishment and Maintenance 210 $cFrontiers Media SA$d2018 215 $a1 online resource (172 p.) 225 1 $aFrontiers Research Topics 311 08$a2-88945-517-3 330 $aThe term polarity in a biological context is used to describe an asymmetry in morphology and distribution of molecules. In neurons, their complex shape with typically one axon and several dendrites reflects this asymmetry. Although neurons assume many different shapes and sizes they always maintain these two domains, which are essential for neuronal function. In the most simple view, neurons use their axon to transmit signals over long distances due to its capacity to extend to enormous lengths. Dendrites, on the other hand, are shorter and receive and integrate signals from different locations. The selection of the site where the axon and dendrites initially emerge during embryonic development is a tightly regulated event, eventually important for the correct formation of neuronal circuits, and disturbances of these processes can have pathological consequences due to circuit malformation. An important question is which mechanisms neurons utilize to specify the sites where axonal and dendrite outgrowth occurs and how their identities are maintained during and after development. The formation of these functionally diverse domains is the result of polarized differences of membrane and protein delivery, mitochondria transport, actin dynamics and microtubule stability. However how and in which temporal order all those events which coordinate the selection and maintenance of axons and dendrites is still under investigation. This selection of articles shall highlight new findings, which help to unravel all molecular and cellular events important for neuronal polarity establishment and maintenance. 517 $aNeuronal Polarity 606 $aNeurosciences$2bicssc 610 $aaxon 610 $adendrites 610 $aneurogenesis 610 $aneuronal migration 610 $aneuronal polarity 615 7$aNeurosciences 700 $aFroylan Calderon de Anda$4auth$01279438 702 $aAnnette Gaertner$4auth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910346756003321 996 $aNeuronal Polarity: Establishment and Maintenance$93015377 997 $aUNINA
